As a newcomer to the amateur radio scene, I was surprised by all the different elements that impact a person’s ability to use a ham radio successfully. Honestly, it was a little intimidating. I was very happy to find the Baofeng Radio Bible on Amazon and decided to take a chance on it. Good choice! It covers all the topics I knew I needed to know, but also a lot of other, very important topics I had not thought about. It provided a solid base from which to build my confidence, and success, using my radio. It is well worth the price and I recommend it to anyone starting out in the radio field.

This book is the Bomb! Walked me through every step for every important detail in setting up my Baofeng UV25RA! New to Baofeng Radios, don’t stress it. Get the book. Plain spoken language, easy to follow steps. Clearly explained.

Very good informative book for a Baofeng radio. A must have!

For the 2026 edition it should contain information on the BF-F8HP-Pro capability and how to access the features. Put the list of acronyms in the beginning of the book. Note that hams are not allowed to encrypt messages that can't be understood by the general public. Provide really simple step by step instructions so a first timer can find something to listen to and get excited about going further.

Learning about privacy tones and secure communication techniques was something I worried about when it comes to just using a HAM radio, where private information can be easily compromised. Another highlight was the tips on how to troubleshoot common issues and ensure that the radio will be reliable when/if we ever need it most. Overall, "All-In-One Baofeng Radio Preparedness" has given me the knowledge and confidence to be prepared and capable to continue communication to those it matters most in the event that cell towers go down. If you're looking for a way to stay connected and safeguard your loved ones in uncertain times, this book is a fantastic resource. It goes beyond just radio communication and touches on important survival skills that can help anyone wanting to be prepared for whatever may come our way.

I have 2 of the Boefeng UV-82's. With over 40 menu (sub Settings), this book described every setting, installation, programming etc... all in layman terms! I highly recommend this book.
