The sound is very good, clear, and clean.
The sound is very good, clear, and clean. The battery drains very quickly if the volume is very high, but otherwise, it's an excellent device.

Hard to program channels
It is impossible to program your favorite stations. This is a big disadvantage. I like the built in speaker and it gets good reception. Battery life is good and overall quality appears to be good. (only had it a couple of months)

Disappointed again
Nice size in hand. Excellent am/fm reception (better than the constantly fuzzy CC Crain I ordered direct from the company: a real piece of junk). However, it turns itself off every 5-10 minutes; I will have to return to Amazon.

Good reception and good sound quality
A good radio overall, however a bit bulky. The antenna is annoying. Why didn't they omit the antenna, and instead have the earphone cable as the antenna, and a switch to select for the sound to come from the speaker or from the earphone?

A CLASSIC portable radio
A CLASSIC portable radio! Always wanted one like this haha. Great reception on this little bad boy with the giant collapsible antenna. This thing even has a little flashlight on it lol I only wish this had a cassette tape recorder on it, like the classic Walkmans. It plays loud too, better than some of the cheaper bluetooth speakers I've had.

Small Radio to Stash in Your Gear Bag
If you want a small, lightweight radio to pack along with your gear, or just have on hand around the house this Pronus J-128 might work out nicely for you. I actually like the fact it runs on standard AA batteries, so you don't have to worry about keeping it re-charged via a USB cable. Because it's so small and inexpensive (standard Made in China product) I kept my expectations low. It picks up the only radio station in my vicinity nicely--an NPR tower about 10 miles away I can see from my house. I wouldn't expect it to pull in a lot of stations if you were in the mountains or some really remote territory. It might just be that I am instruction sheet challenged but I'm still trying to figure out some of the controls. It is retro looking which is kind of cool. Overall, a good little AM/FM radio that works okay and doesn't take up a lot of space in your backpack or on a kitchen shelf.
