Finally - a robot vacuum that works really well in all aspects.
I am upgrading from one of the highest end roombas (separate vacuum for $800 and moper for $250, so two machines). I have two dogs and two kids, both of whom are teenagers and do not believe in cleanliness. Cleanliness just wanted to share my situation, so you understand why I am raving about this product. First of all, the ease of physical setup was similar to the Roomba. That is where the similarities end. 1. The app is 100,000 times better than iRobots useless control app. Better configurations, More options for granular control. 2. Suction power is good for most of the use cases. Both my dogs shed heavily, and this vacuum manages to capture 90% of the dog hair on the hardwood floor. Floor. However, its performance carpet significantly better than anything else I've owned previously. 3. That camera that can see everything, avoids constantly bumping into things, allows it to easily map the room and identify different types of furniture and pets, it's just amazing technology. It's fun to watch the first person view as it does its job, especially when it goes under furniture that you cannot see under. 4. The mops are a little above average in terms of performance, only because there were some sticky spots that weren't cleaned properly. In a house where dog hair will stick to anything, that was important for me. But for all other cases, the mop works very well. The one thing I think puts this mop above. Anything else I've seen on the market is how the robot intelligently extends it to work on corners and other use cases. It's actually pretty cool. It's only been 4 days, but I can see the large step up in performance. And even though this single device is expensive, it's actually cheaper than buying two separate devices for vacuuming and mopping.

Overwhelmingly Positive Experience — I’m Stunned!
I’m stunned by the how incredible the Saros 10R is. I’ve been a iRobot Roomba customer for twenty years, and stubbornly stayed in Roombaland much longer than I should’ve. I finally switched when my last Roomba, a once-top-of-the-line J9+ Combo, fell victim to a known charging base defect that, once broken, made recharging impossible and essentially bricked the unit. Because I was just a bit outside of warranty, iRobot wouldn’t replace my charging / mopping base and offered me $150- toward the cost of replacing it outright from them directly, which they were still selling at that time for another $1,400. I jumped ship, rage-ordered a Saros 10R on the spot, and have never looked back. I’ve owned it for the last month+ and am just gobsmacked by how much better a cleaning machine this Roborock is compared to all the other Roombas I’ve ever owned (numerous models over years). My floors have never been cleaner as the vacuuming and mopping technology this machine employs are exceedingly better than my last Roomba. It just … *works* … does what it’s supposed to, properly, when you expect it to. No more weird ‘I’m stuck’ errors or ‘I’m lost under the dining table / chairs *again* and can’t find my way out even though I’ve been here dozens and dozens of times before’ problems. No more VSLAM technology slowly chipping and scraping the hell out of my expensive walnut furniture. No more being afraid to let it run while I’m away from home because something would inevitably fail with whatever scheduled cleaning it was supposed to be running. This machine is incredible. It is solidly built. It is easy to use and set up. It quickly accurately and effortlessly mapped my home on its first mapping run. Its obstacle avoidance is superior to any other Roomba I’ve owned, and works flawlessly. It avoids bumping into any of my furniture as it is sensitive enough to get right up next to table / desk / sofa / chair / bed legs and clean around them without actually connecting or coming into contact with any of them. It’s just … well, I want to write ‘perfect’ but as nothing can be truly perfect I’ll just write I am at a loss to list anything I have a quibble with. Plus, it’s almost eerily quiet compared to my last Roomba. I can barely tell where it is in my house without looking at the app or scouting for it when it’s working unless it’s very nearby. My dog used to run out of any room my last Roomba entered, but now he just glances at the 10R and continues napping or playing or whatever without fear. My husband complained pretty frequently about how loud our last Roomba was, and I now joke to friends the Saros 10R practically saved our marriage because it’s so much quieter when it’s cleaning. My household is comprised of two adults, one pretty fluffy medium-haired cat, one small short-haired dog, no children, and mostly hard-surface flooring with low-to-medium-pile area rugs and runners in almost every room but the bathrooms. It is brand-new construction and so is without extreme-door-sill or room-threshold height challenges, but I’ve seen my Saros 10R navigate over low-furniture barriers like the base of my console and coffee tables without any difficulty whatsoever using the AdaptLift Chassis feature — that technology is pretty impressive. I love this thing. So much. If you’re a frustrated Roomba owner like I was, or looking to upgrade your Roborock, don’t hesitate — the Roborock Saros 10R … ROCKS. Ugh, sorry. I couldn’t resist.

Unreliable vacuum, disappointing mop. Mixed navigation.
I really wanted to like thing this not especially after having an awful experience with a different >$1k vac from a competitor. Sadly I can report that as a vaccuum, this $1600 model is far less reliable at actually picking up debris and hair than a $50 generic stick vac. 1. The Vacuum The final straw for me was trying to clean up some hair from my bathroom floor after a hair cut. I ran the unit over the smaller area exactly 8 times and it still failed to remove every strand. As you can see in my video, it literally rolls right over smaller lighter strands of hair. These were not wet or stuck down, I could move them by blowing on them. And yes, I had made sure there were no clogs and that the dust bin was empty. I ran it on maximum+ suction each pass. As a vacuum, my 3 year old roborock q5 was a superior product at 1/3rd the price. That thing got tangled in hair and didn't avoid socks, while the saros 10r still eats the occasional sock it never gets tangled in hair. The split roller design is good, but it leaves a ton of hair on the ground as it passes over anyway. Can't be tangle free when you don't pick up hair at all! It's not just hair that it misses, it also drives over finer chunks of dirt I spilled from houseplants and other objects that should be no problem to pick up. 2. The mop I might be asking too much of this technology, but I had hoped running it often would help keep my kitchen floor tiles clean. I cook often and sometimes fine amounts of oil splatters on the ground. When the mop is done working, the kitchen floor never feels clean, but it does become cloudy. I've tried maximum water and max detergent settings (using the roborock first party detergent) and all it does is seem to spread the oil across the floor evenly, moving it to areas and rooms it wasn't even close to originally. I've got the mop set to clean at the highest frequency too, I'm pretty much maxed out on all settings, it simply doesn't do a great job here. It also failed to remove a small dried on blob or sauce that I left out as a test. Since buying this thing I think I've actually had to use my hand held mop and vacuums more often just because I feel like the area SHOULD be clean after spending this kind of money on something. 3. The navigation So on one hand this thing crushed the ecovacs x9 I was comparing it to, which couldn't drive in a straight line or map my area to save it's life. On the other hand the lack of a lidar tower is still painfully obvious. The unit still kinda meanders a bit and misses some obvious paths, it's not terrible- but again my old q5 did a much better job. The 10r also has failed to recognize a cord and a sock once or twice, though it's a huge improvement over the q5 which had no object avoidance at all. Bottom line is this: I'm returning it. No way I can justify this premium expense for a product that fails to be a functional vacuum or a functional mop. I really wanted to like it too because I love the roborock app, it's just that I also need my vaccuum to be able to you know... vacuum things.

The best of the best. This is quiet, thorough, and really gets into the corners.
I am having a love hate relationship with these machines. I have one that works amazingly well, operates as it should and makes me love it more than my other appliances. But... I have a very large home, and one vacuum is not enough, so I decided to purchase a second one and have not been as lucky. My first one cleans so well that you would have thought a human with an eye for detail did the cleaning. The deep mopping function is a life saver, and frankly, this robot can out clean me when it comes to getting my floors looking brand new. The issues I have had with the other 10Rs have all been different. For example, one of the machines made a terrible clunking noise and couldn't find its way back to the base. The second one would go out to map, say it was saving the map, and then not save the map. It also wouldn't stay connected to the wifi and I would find it parked in random places in my house. It didn't matter how many factory resets I performed, it just wouldn't function properly. So, I just purchased my third additional robot and I am hoping that the third time is a charm. I know how great these machines can be because I have another one that is working as it should. UPDATE: Okay, I have been having an incredibly good experience with my third machine which has been in use for a few months. It must have just been a fluke that there were a couple that had issues. I am currently using two of these 10Rs (each one has half of the house), and my floors are always clean and look amazing. If you are like me, and you like your floors spotless all of the time, I highly recommend this vacuum. Maintenance is easy, the quality is exceptionally high, their customer service is responsive and helpful. I am actually thinking about adding another one just so that I don't have as much wear on the two 10Rs that I have now.

Great robot but seriously, no floor solution included?
Let me get the con out of the way. How in the world they thought it was a good idea to not include even a trial size floor cleaning solution with the robot is beyond me. I'm over here digging through all of the packing material thinking I must have overlooked it. Nope. None. Nadal. Okay with that con aside, I freaking love this robot. I bought a Roomba S9+ when it first came out and have used it since. The S9 was showing it's age and iRobot quit making replacement parts. After a lot of research, I settled on the Soros 10R. What a difference 5+ years has made in robot technology. This robot is leaps and bounds beyond the S9. Besides the obvious addition of mopping, navigation through my home is amazing. Not once has it become lost or stuck. The S9, even with careful prep, would manage to get stuck at least once per cleaning. The brush design is excellent. The S9 brushes would accumulate huge amounts of hair that would mangle the rollers. The split design with different rotation speeds of the 10R has yet to have any hair stuck on it after many cleaning cycles. The side brush on the S9 would get stuck under rugs and become tangled with hair. No such issue with the 10R given the brush design and the lifting capability of both the brush and the robot. When it came to mopping, I was a bit skeptical as to how well this would work. It is actually pretty amazing how thorough it is. I don't intend to leave huge spills on the floor for the mop to clean up so I haven't tested that but as far as general mopping, I don't think it can get any better. The spinning maps work great and our oak floors have never looked so good since they were installed. It also does great at cleaning the bathroom and laundry room tile. We do not have any carpet. The 10R does great at identifying rugs and only vacuuming them. No instances of mistakenly mopping any rugs or runners which was a concern for me since they are all very light colors. The robot is significantly quieter than the S9, even when set to maximum suction when vacuuming. The sound when mopping is super low. The app gives complete control and has great functionality to taylor the robot's function exactly how you want it. Mapping was really fast and object identification worked to about 80%. I adjusted the rest of the furniture in app with ease. The robot does an excellent job of identifying and avoiding obstacles while also giving the user the option to ignore the obstacles. The only error I have seen so far is the misidentification of a spot of bright light on the wood floors as a highly soiled area. No worries, it cleaned that sun light really well. This is a great purchase at full price and an amazing deal at current holiday discounts. I don't think there are too many products, particularly when this complex, that I haven't found more cons. Roborock shouldn't have missed something so simple as sending everything needed with the purchase, even if only a trial size were included. In case you missed it, highly recommend, especially if you are coming from an older robot.

Great product, would buy again in a heartbeat.
Had this thing for a few weeks now, so can’t comment on longevity too much, but so far it’s been totally awesome. Easy to set up. Easy to use. Easy to clean. App is great. Does carpet and hardwood and tile. Can’t hardly tell we have a dog, does such a good job my wife is on board with getting another one! Speaking of which, it deals with the dog really well too and does a good job of working around him when he tries to get up in its business. Only issues I’ve had so far are that it tends to drag coins around if it runs one over and make a racket and got stuck under the bed after it got caught in a cord and lost a mop spinner. Would be cool if it would respond to “come here” so I didn’t have to crawl under there to get it. That said, the app showed me exactly where it was. Anyway, I haven’t had one of these things since the original Roomba in the 2000’s so don’t have much to compare to, but this thing is great.

Can’t say Enough
If the choice was 10 Stars I would give the 10R the 10. I have waited a month to make sure my review would be accurate. I researched for 3days to find a robot vacuum to replace my old one. This is my first dive into a vacuum that has moping capabilities. To be honest I tried another brand that had a roller mop. I don’t think the roller mops are ready for prime time yet. I had several problems and got a replacement and that one had issues also. So back to researching. I went with the 10R because of the diminutive height of the vacuum. It goes places that other main stream vacuums can’t. It goes along the bottom of cabinets no problem and is able to vacuum where the taller robots can’t. But that was reason I bought the 10R however I have been blown away by everything else. I probably have done a years cleaning within the month I have had the 10R. If there is a problem I like to flush it out sooner than later. I am happy to say there has been no issues. The vacuum is powerful and the mop pads do a good job. Also once the initial map is complete on the app it is easy to customize and use. I believe the 10R gets smarter after each run. So I will wrap this review up. I recommend the 10R. I got mine during the Black Friday sale. It is well worth the price.

Disappointed - expected much better
I had an irobot and Brava mop that were getting older and thought it would be good to upgrade to the latest tech. Although the Saros 10R maps the space better and navigates better, I've been very disappointed in its mopping capabilities. Every day mopping in the kitchen always leaves dirt - never cleans up the floor very well. I don't think i can even say it even does a fair job - just poor. After $1500 and the latest and greatest, i expect it to be clean. I've compared it to my old brava mop and the brava actually does a better job. Attached a video showing what was left after 2 passes with the roborock. I ran the brava and all these dirt spots/little spill spots were gone. I thought maybe something was wrong having read all the other stellar reviews, so i sent it back for "repair", and talked to support to make sure i wasn't doing something stupid. They said they replaced the drivetrain and it passed all their tests - but it hasn't made any difference. Tried it on different levels of water flow - eventually using maximum water and "turbo" vacuum, and the "double pass" approach - but still...just doesn't get clean. Really expected much better. I guess the spinning mop pads just don't press very hard on the floor? Don't know - but I'd return it and try another model if i was still within the return time.
