Has this scratched your glass?

I have an issue with them where after about 3-4 months, the exterior pads get pilly, like an old sheet. Once they're not smooth, they can scratch. I solve that my covering the outside with a microfibre towel, and making sure to change the pads regularly. You should always inspect the pads and blade for any grit, dirt, or defects and replace the pads as needed. The blades on this one are thicker than on other brands I've used, so they hold up better, and tend not to deform.

Will this work for Coralline algae on an acrylic tank? I don't want to end up scratching my tank.

It will and it's amazing! Rarely do I respond on these things but this truly is a life changer. I now scrape my tank weekly because it's so easy...used to be a major chore getting ladders, chairs, etc out. Just be careful not to get any sand in between the two pieces...it's easy to ensure this doesn't happen because the magnet is so strong, you just let it loose quickly and any sand falls out. Good luck, I personally feel it's worth every penny. (Have had mine for about 6 months or so now and it's still perfect.)

I am a total novice with a 120 gallon extra deep glass tank. What size do I need? Tank is just now reaching equilibrium after 2 months.

Do you know how thick your glass is? Up to 1/2" glass thickness, get a Flipper standard size. If the glass is thicker than 1/2", then get a Max. 120 gallon tank could be more than 1/2" thick, so please check before buying. Hope that helps

Is there any kind of cover for the razor blade when it is not in use? I recently lacerated my thumb very badly while using a long handled razor tool.

There is not a cover but the blade on the scraper is not that sharp. It's not like a razor blade that you would find on a box cutter. We've been using them for years with no issues. Thank you, Scott
