Bought two JBL CLIP 5s together for the stereo functionality support that they offer. To set up the stereo mode you need to first connect one of the speakers to your phone with Bluetooth, open the JBL Portable app and then put other speaker on the Bluetooth pairing mode. The app has option to opt for stereo mode. As you select the second speaker on the app when it pops up, both speakers will go in stereo mode with left & right channels. It also allows for a permanent pairing of two speakers in left and right configuration which means once you setup the stereo mode, you can disconnect the speakers from your Mobile (turn off Bluetooth all together) & then connect to your TV. The Clip5s stay in stereo mode even with your TV. You may have to update speaker firmware for this feature. The app allows you to identify which is left and right speaker or you can do that with youtube video my searching for left right speaker test. The app also allows to switch the left & right speakers which is very helpful if you have the charger setup only on one side of where you sit. The build quality is excellent & miles away compared to JBL's own iterations before this. A happy consumer on that front. Battery life is just as good. You're likely to have a charge it again and again but that is only because you'll use the throughout the day at 60 to 70% volume. Coming to sound quality, I've used JBL Go2, Go3, Clip4 & Clip5s. These speakers are best sounding of the lot even with just single speaker as the power is higher. The stereo mode ads to the flavor and make it even better. Make sure you keep the speakers at arms length (~2ft) on both sides right besides you. That way the left & right speakers feel distinct while the center channel is over the head. The music sounds good if you use hi-res source. Watching movies with the stereo setup is absolutely fun for content with good audio quality. This stereo setup on JBL CLIP 5 is somehow better than my Sony Wh-1000xm4 as the bass & channel separation is better. The rumble due to bass is felt in entire body with CLIP5 pair as against just the head in a headphone. While you might be able to get 2.1 channel computer/TV speakers at lower price, with the features, sound quality & portability that the JBL Clip 5s offer, they are the best pair you can buy right now and this price point. And so the concluding the review, I don't think anyone will be able to separate me from CLIP5s anytime sooner. The only improvement after this will be if JBL can engineer a 5.1 Dolby Atmos setup in CLIP6 or CLIP7 iteration. That will be the holy trinity of audio quality, value for money & JBL's engineering prowess. @JBL, if you can make Dolby Atmos happen on these, you'll have people buying 5 if these in one go instead of just 1 or 2. You'll bathe in rain of money.
