This device is a Peltier device, that basically replaces broken coolers and other devices that use Peltier devices for cooling purposes. My small desktop fridge broke down and I was able to fix it by replacing this component. I hope that answers your question.

Q: What do you what do use to connect the motor to the generator pad

This Peltier device only requires electricity. For my unit its 9V 2Amp DC. There is typically a heat sink and fan used to dissipate the heat generated by the device. It's a solid state cooling/heating device so the only "motors" involved are typically a motorized fan to assist with heat dissipation. You can momentarily connect the device to power for a couple of seconds to ensure you identify the hot side from the cool side which you need to do to ensure you have the device positioned correctly.

These are soldered to the fan motor directly

Q: Will this work in an ecofan?

Working so far in 12 year old Ecofan Original. Very slightly smaller that the original. Side with printing goes up.
