I've known the Ewbank name for as long as I can remember, so I had no hesitation when I saw this iconic sweeper at a really great price. It's lightweight,easy to use and does the job. Delivery was quick and it was just a matter of screwing the handle into the base and it's ready to go. I'm short on floor space so this compact little machine is ideal. Very happy to recommend.

Small, Handy and Great Value. A decent quality and picks up dirt very well indeed. What's not to like?... I can't think of anything.

I really like this product in terms of looks and cleaning efficiency. It is easy and lightweight to use and easy to empty BUT the handle is very weak and starts to bend very quickly before eventually snapping. Not sure if it was me putting too much pressure on or if the multi section tube handle just isn't very sturdy at the joints as it is very slim. I have fashioned a replacement handle and the sweeper still works beautifully but I sadly can't give it 5 stars which it would be worth if the handle was a little more robust.

I love love love it!! Out the box handle on and off you go! It picks up brilliantly it's light weight glides across the carpet with ease picks up all the hairs, I have long hair my son has a long beard and we have a cat! I was concerned when reviews said flimsy handle but to be honest you don't need to apply pressure you just slide it over, emptying it is easy as well it takes a little longer to get the rest of the hairs from the brush underneath but you just turn the wheels and the hairs come free and at a time when using electric only makes the share holders happy I would recommend it to every one who wants to save money or any one with back pain as it is so much gentler on the back than an electric hoover I wish I had got one years ago! 10 out of 10!

The sweeper itself is fantastic and picks up an amazing amount of dog hair and general debris. It's easy to empty as well. The only problem is the handle. Because it comes in 3 parts there's no strength in it and it bends like a banana. It's hollow though so I'm going to put one long tube through it which should improve it. Still worth £16 though just needs a better design.

Firstly, thankyou to those who posted honest reviews and influenced me in choosing this sweeper. So easy to use - and picked up pieces that would have blocked the hoover - and was brilliant at picking up dog hair - which was easy to remove from the brush. Neighbour invited me to show her how it works. I am not that daft - but took it round and watched her sweep her own floor. She is now ordering one too. Far easier than dragging out the hoover for dog biscuit crumbs. I knew I missed my old one - a sixties model - but I never appreciated quite how much. No need for expensive electricity - use what you save for switching the kettle on for a cup of tea - not that you need one - so light to push, so little effort - it is hardly like doing housework.

Reasonably priced, very lightweight, picks up cat hair very well. Does not have the power of a vacuum cleaner, but doesn't use any power other than your own!! Didn't realise just how much it did actually pick up until I emptied it, which is very easy to do. Fab little item, very pleased with it, wish I had got one before, great interim appliance.

I've had these Ewbank sweepers before and have always found them very efficient in sweeping up the detritus of daily life. For a quick tidy up it's much easier than getting out the hoover. The only problem is that there is a squeaky wheel on this one. I could send it back, but it's too much of a faff, so I'll just put up with it!
