This kit was such a hit in our house! My toddler and I had a blast creating the little sea creatures together. I was as excited as my kids to make these they looked so fun. Nowhere in the commercials or anything else I saw did it say they have to stay in water! Maybe I should've paid more attention but the advertising is very misleading. We thought after making them that they would be a squishy toy to play with. But no, they dry out and have to stay in water . What fun is that? They are still fun to make but disappointing that they don't keep.

Really fun for the kids BUT I also thought after you made these that they were a toy to play with not have to keep in water. A little disappointing.

This was a hit with the 7-year old. It keeps her busy FOR HOURS. But the water elves, must stay in the water or they'll dehydrate and crumble like the cookie Santa left behind.
