I used it with my cocker spaniel Excellent results but prolonged use heats the blades which may disturb the dog Didn't try the nail compartment yet. You need to comb the hair first in case of long hair and use the longer combs then decrease till the desired hair length. The sound and the vibration didn't disturb the dog on the contrary she enjoyed the vibration as tickling especially on the lower back just above the tail.

Clippers work great. I have a silky mini dachshund who's hair gets unruly if not trimmed and these do a great job. They aren't really loud so he doesn't mind them. The different sized attachments make trimming his fluffy feet a lot easier. HeAnd he hates his face being trimmed but the small clipper head makes it quick and easy.

Not bad. Cuts my dog's hair all right. But the one here: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B096VP4L1W?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2&th=1 is much quieter, and cuts the hair really well. I got this one because it's a newer model, thinking it would be better, but it isn't.
