The war for Eternia begins again in what may be the final battle between He-Man and Skeletor.

"...I HAVE THE POWERRRRRR!!!!" (That is This 2-Volume Set of He-Man MOTU)
This "He-Man Masters of the Universe" is the curated return of this multi-editioned kids cartoon inspired by its long-ago original series on love, devotion, courage and morals. It does what the original and 2002 series did in their eras: It works to instill those attributes in youngsters who -- when they're mature enough to have learned which condition of life enables life creation and living its three foundation states, the good, the true and the beautiful -- can answer the call the sword wielding, muscle bound blonde and his fellow Eternians answered in defense of life and its three states imbued into everyone for everyone to live from and to, indicating the significance of the individual's will for his self then, through simple introspection or observation, his respect of the will of every individual for her self then the significance of each's will in relation to the other. This relationship, that of an individual on his will to an other individual on her will, is where regulation, the condition of making regular, occurs naturally, a divine process whose outcome when right demonstrates fairness and whose outcome when wrong demonstrates unfairness so shouldn't be mistaken as divine because the source of the process is divine. Observation on the present and contemplation especially on the past from the individual’s standpoint confirm that occurence. Moreover, observation and contemplation on either or both periods in measurement to the tragectory of human history -- the coerced centralization of life -- whose last effect, its goal, is elimination of self therefore elimination of the individual's connection to the Creator confirms that occurence again. This elimination, the elimination of the individual's will, reduces the individual to a mere number among the masses and a thing to be acted on including training him to be a cog in and for the System and in some cases, tragically, an adversary if not a foe to his fellow man. That reduction reconfirms regulation's origin is the individual on his will, the force of spirit for its preservation and betterment in learning about the Creator and life lived righteously, not on the will of an other person or thing because that other person or thing, that externality to him, could turn on him, harm him.[Note: Contemplate the concept centralization, the concept expansion (read: government implementation of the "free" market and its partner "capitalism," euphemisms for fascism, the combination of business and government starting an economic enterprise and spreading it), and the concept contraction (read: government regulation that shutters small businesses, forces them to merge or be bought out so big business grows bigger and intrude into your life more than before the application of government regulation). Then ponder those concepts for producing consolidation/ownership of everything via the fiction man's law, words on paper awaiting certain members or computer programs of the coerced centrality to threaten everyone with. Then mull over products and the introductions of them in different formats and their transition from physical to nonphysical/digital to the masses; those introductions are the System's expansion. If you contemplate those concepts, you'll understand how the world, the System (built worldwide), works. One of the System's binders on the individual to it is "educating" him and, if needed, threatening the individual to obtain its permission for him to take care of himself (such as putting a roof over his head and bread on his table) and for any and every self wanting to work with him. Those permissions are the coercive centrality's licenses, permits, certificates, etc. Recognizing them for what they are, fictions, and that their source, the second largest fiction, government, is why comprehending economics, the collectivized form of what individuals do, trade, is vital to learn when coercion propels, causes, economics. Trade of no fewer than two things, time and effort, is constant for the individual even when he's alone because of his relationship to the Creator then to himself, the relationship reflexion, the return of the effects of his time spent and effort given. This return is the completion of a maturation cycle among many of them in a human's life. In the physical realm man's essence is (performed and seen in) trade, the activity for his maintenance spiritually, mentally and physically; trade displays what he wants; what he wants, as how he behaves, reflects the state of his spirit. Allowance or disallowance of an externality of the individual to determine his ability to trade is how the individual loses, regains or retains his freedom. Trade is the determinant of mankind's enslavement or freedom.]Backtracking: Those three states, which are divine and natural, the latter's definition being a process without interference in Creator design allowing Creator intention, are the foundational characteristics of the spirit, the individual’s essence of and from the Creator that is the first moment of new life and is what the body materializes from and houses for its life. *If* the spirit's person *lives in* the alluded-to condition, the condition the Creator of the universe is in and uses for life creation, sustainment and maintenance, naturally the body will behave according to those states. Those states are expressed in many forms, ways, through these three modes: thinking (which is the immaterial/spirit led, material/body influenced activity of the spirit-body composite the brain, the informer of each entity's needs for itself and the translator of those needs to the other entity for it); talking; and acting, taking action. What that alluded-to condition is, is what the call was -- and is -- for: *freedom.*These 15 fast paced, action packed, mystical episodes with spiritual overtones faithfully recall the past, explore and have fun in the present and keep the door of this tale ajar for its future. Vibrant, perfect pallette and lined artistry, a coherent, crescendoing narrative and a bombshell plot that top notch dialogue peppered with learned vocabulary, a standard in ‘80s cartoons, define the episodes from start to finish. But on a down note, dear prudent reader, this series contains a couple of instances of choice words, quick, sly subversive remarks and one gratuitious, uncalled-for scene involving Skeletor and Evil-lyn in part two of "Revelation" that merits sheilding of the eyes of the innocent, skipping past the scene or barring your little ones from the show until they're mature enough to watch it. View this series without kids and those unable to discern right from wrong to judge whether you want them taking in those out-of-bounds plays; really, though, that judgement is obvious, isn’t it?The cadre of voice actors is familiar in today's ‘toons and those who stand out do, but unfortunately one of them does so occasionally for a wrong reason: Batman's purple suited, green haired, blanched faced arch rival should've stayed in Gotham, not strode into Snake Mountain to assume its ruler's throne and staff for, oddly enough, cameos. Yes, sometimes and likely accidentally but irksome to those who recognize it, highly talented veteran voice actor Mark Hamill (yes, *that* Mark Hamill) reprised his most famous character voice the Joker as Skeletor's with even a few of the nutty clown's campy remarks that underscored this strange shift. Maybe I shouldn't have typed that fact, because now that you're aware of it you'll detect it. :-/ Sorry about that. But to hear Joker while watching Skeletor fight He-Man is jarring, cringeworthy and a case of A Thing That Shouldn't Be. Joker is Joker and Skeletor is Skeletor. No character blend needed or wanted, thank you. As said, this oddity is occasional, not constant. One thing in this series that isn't cringeworthy is He-Man's loyal battle buddy -- Cringer! (Well, not throughout the series is he.) Mr. Muscle's orange striped, green haired feline friend has retained his name but, as the story progresses, for the most part matures past his fraidy cat personality! Yes, siree, Bob! Cringer shedding this diminution is refreshing! Joining Cringer in gaining dignity is Orko the court jester and wizard. Without detail here to avoid story spoilage, this pointy hat, robe clad spellcaster, who remains congenial, levels up from his frequent timidity, clumsy habits and backfiring, mostly party favors level spells to being cast with moxie, spatial sense and target landing spells that stymie or beat the bad guys. It was time for the tiger and the wizard to grow up. Speaking of growing up, so do He-Man and Teela with each other but not overtly. It's kept classy. Nothing risque, unlike the vulgar Skeletor-Evil-lyn scene. In addition to that foul ball is the mishit of a character's appearance that peeked through for a season: Teela wears a rough haircut and man muscles before learning two long hidden truths, one that concerns her origin and the other involving it in the future of Castle Grayskull, a future that restores her to how we all remember her looking all those years ago, feminine.Throughout this sterling series, secrets, including the whopper among them -- Who. Is. Adam? --, are revealed, doubletakes on team mates cannot be helped and loose storyline ends in lore are tied. Series craftsman Kevin Smith and his craftsmen drop clues and bombs for reminiscence. Often they're dialed to the ‘80s including its toy commercials -- "[It] Comes with Everything You See Here" -- He-Man toys and legendary stories such as the one found in the loose inverse allusion of a famous scene in the film "Lord of the Rings: The Desolation of Smaug" (note: only with subtitles on, what Granamyr the good dragon while muzzled forcefully grumbles in dragon speech to the flying robot monster). Despite the much thanked-for labor Smith and his smiths undertook in forging nostalgia, one mistake of theirs in this product compropels me to rate it, because of something besides the show, four stars instead of five stars. That mistake is the absence of on-disc bonuses: The extra material “You See Here” on any of the three discs is none. Physically this set boasts an attractive paintedlike pictorial of characters steelbook case, a nifty, informative case slip cover and a few-pages booklet briefly discussing the episodes. But after telling you this set's physical goodies and in anticipation of its nonphysical goodies, its on-disc extras, I wish I could say, “But wait, there's more!” but I can't because there isn't. Each disc is a basket bountiful in nuthin' bonus wise': no interviews, illustrations slide, deleted scenes, extended scenes, director’s cut, voice-over commentary, making-of documentaries or beautiful and often invigorating music. Regardless that regretful neglect, you'll be happy you took this trip down memory lane that can transition easily into a wide, long freeway of a stellar series.Does the nondiscounted price $50 befit this set? No, siree, Bob(by B.), who as the following show's first host would agree, "The Price is Right" -- where the price is, $30 as of 5/15/25. If this set came with bonus material and depending on its amount and quality, $40 to $50 would be appropriate. If you see it for $20, make sure to scoop it up, maybe a few of them as gifts. So, what're you waitin' for? “Come on down,” spin that wheel, er, no, press the Add to Cart button then -- in your answer to the call to defend yours and everyone's rightful, Creator given condition of life -- belt out that unforgettable magical refrain of your childhood when Adam drew his sword, held it aloft, looked up and bellowed, "BY THE POWER OF GRAYSKULL...."-----------Or belt out the real life refrain: BY THE POWER OF (your name for the Creator goes here)....-----------Rating breakdown:The series: 5 stars.Item contents: 4 stars.Displayed stars rating: The number of stars I have rated this item, 5, is temporary. Because there's only so much time in a day and buyers tend to read short reviews instead of long reviews in their judgments on whether to buy products, I will change my 5 stars to 4 stars once enough reviews have been written to avoid what review skimming relative to indistinguished ratings usually cause, unfair judgement on the substance of a product, which for a film or show is itself, here this show, this series. When I drop my displayed stars from 5 to 4, my rating on this product, a whole, not a part, will be less inaccurate than it is now. Nonetheless, because Amazon's rating system doesn't include half stars, I'll retain this explanation of my rating, that my rating of this show and its accompanying physical and nonphysical contents is 4.5 stars.-----------To Kevin,Does an orchestra play this illustration masterpiece of yours and your team mates? I can’t quite tell whether it does. If it doesn’t, it deserves an orchestra. If it does, a tweak in engineering the sound should elevate that detection to no doubt that it does. Or I need to listen better than I have or hook up my TV to my stereo’s speakers. This series and its score, especially certain segments of it, are memorable. Two such segments that come to my mind are when Adam's sword absorbed Skeletor's evil energy then converts it into divine energy and when divine light showered Adam and Teela simultaneously so they could achieve their ultimate forms. Goodness now. Wow. That piece moves me to want to write my series of books on language, spirituality and freedom! As well, if you don’t mind my saying, if in the future where scenes those segments play in, try to play them a little longer than they did. Elongating these segments for special scenes, which should be seldom or rare, or if played only once then playing them enough longer, would inculcate them in viewers and nudge them to share the beauty that is them with others. Those two musical segments reach the soul and embolden it. Now that I think about it, if you can lengthen Adam’s power-up theme a little even if it seeps into its subsequent scene, that would be great too. It’s a rousing theme. Also, here’s a wish list if you’re up to it: Among the bonus material on a disc or on discs in a set, provide your show's score in tracks and, presuming you did or will hire an orchestra for your upcoming projects whatever they are, record video of the orchestra playing your show’s score. Oh, my goodness, *whistles.* One more item on that list: those tracks on disc, downloadable. Then the product will merit a price between $40 and $50.I thank you and your team mates for using the tools of these years to chisel, carve and sculpt a joy of yesteryear from your minds to those who're fans of the ‘80s and now, because of finding this joy, admirers of you all. Awesome. No doubt about it.Gary
