These are excellent walkies, especially for under $20.Got these to use on camping trips where we don't have any cell service. I easily got 1/2-3/4 of a mile of range in a wooded area. Didn't test them at ranges further than that but at those ranges the audio was still extremely clear and easy to hear.Adjusting the various settings can be slightly confusing. Using the included manual, it took me maybe 10 minutes to adjust everything I wanted and set up several channels with privacy codes.The included rechargeable battery life is excellent. Having used them over period of 4 days they are still showing full charge. The option to also run on AA's is great if you're going to be off grid with no means to recharge.The volume goes way higher than I can foresee needing (which isn't a bad thing) They are perfectly audible on the lowest 1-3 volume settings, at least in an environment without a lot of background noise.They are light weight and the belt clip is well designed/works great with good retention.Overall exceeded expectations and worked flawlessly.

Very good product. It has excellent range, working in basements and buildings. It offers several secure frequencies for communication. Buy it, you won't regret it.

These radios are great! They are easy to use, their sound quality is truly amazing, and they appear to be very well constructed. This pair replaced a more expensive set which might have possessed more bells and whistles, but fancy gadgets are useless unless they actually work - and the owner knows how to use them! The brand name was unknown to me, but that was of no consequence; these radios are a good purchase.My only negative comment would be regarding the amount if time between charging. We find that after one day of being activated (but not necessarily used more than a few seconds), we should charge both units. This is not a serious fault by any means, but one should be aware of the limitation.If I had to do it over, I certainly would buy these radios again!

I bought these for my 8 yr old to have one upstairs and me to have one downstairs. They have been great. Have to charge every few days. Voice transmission is clear and I am happy with purchase so far

Good radio to used for off roading

These radios are okay but the battery packs that come with them are absolute garbage. I fully charged both radios using the cable that was provided by baofeng, I only powered the units long enough to sync them and go through the settings and get familiar with the functions. After a few days later I went to use the radios and they wouldn't power on, I thought maybe I had left them on by accident and charged them again. I used the radios for about an hour while hiking with my son and we never actually transmitted only powered on in case we were seperated. Both units were only down one bar on the battery icon when I powered them off and I double checked that I had powered them down. Again after a few days of not being used I decided to check the power level and they were completely dead. I like baofeng and I've never had any issues with any of their other products. Maybe this was a fluke and I just got a bad set but I can't recommend these radios with this issue. We use these radios to communicate while camping hiking or enjoying other outdoor activities. We take them in case we need to reach one another if one of us gets lost or hurt and need somebody to get help. If the battery doesn't work the radios are useless.
