Great raw kava. Easy going relaxation with a mild euphoria. I was introduced to Kava via Kava liquors and instants. My first time with kava root. I really enjoy this. Price is nice as well. Yes it has typical kava flavor. (To me that's wet cardboard not earthy) Flavored with a vanilla sweeter is my favorite option.

I've never tried kava before this product. I heard that it has a calming effect so I figured I would give it a shot. I need all the calm I can get. To me it tastes very earthy mixed with pepper. Honestly the taste didn't bother me but my husband was making audible noises of disgust while drinking it. It numbs your tongue a little bit, but it didn't numb my throat, which I'm glad because that probably would have made me nervous lol. It kicks in rather quickly and I would say there's a little bit of a buzz but it doesn't feel intoxicating. Later that day I ended up taking a nap and I don't normally nap. The next day I had a little bit of a headache which was very weird for me because I am blessed in the regard that I never get headaches. I'm going to try it again on the weekend and I'll edit my review.

Meh. I don’t see what the draw is. The product is fine for what it is.

The media could not be loaded. First you don’t drink kava for the taste. It has an earthy/peppery taste and is a muddy color when brewed. This traditional tea is reputed to have relaxing, stress reducing and insomnia reducing properties. It is non-alcoholic. I have found it works for me. I brew it by microwaving a glass jar of water to about 140 degrees with a few tablespoons of whole milk. Then place a mesh bag over the rim and put two heaping tablespoons of the tea powder in the bag and let it seep until cool. I massage the bag to get as much fluid out as possible before placing it in the fridge.

Grabbed this because I was intrigued about the altering effects I've heard others claim it has. I made 8oz of the stuff in the proper was, as per the instructions. The only effect I felt was a slimy, burning throat. I drank it really fast too, hoping to get the full effect. I've had more altering experiences by taking 1 aspirin.ZERO effect. I felt nothing. I would give this a pass if I felt even a slight buzz, but it was all work, and all disgusting, for no reward. It was so ineffective, that I'm literally going to eat the cost, and throw it in the trash. Also, check the liver warning on the packaging. What's that about? Many people look into kava because they're trying to safely replace a toxic relationship with other substances, such as alcohol, but there's also a warning stating not to use this product if you use alcohol regularly. Yeah, I'm good with it, no complaints, and price is good too, will compare with others, at thos point I'd say I would purchase again!
