Q: Replacing on cat tower? Has anyone done this- while using the recommendation to staple in place? How much of the cat tower did it cover?

I used this to replace sections of carpet on my floor-to-ceiling cat tower by cutting it to the dimensions needed for the various sections. The adhesive backing is strong, but I did use a staple gun to place a few staples to be sure the carpet really stayed in place. There is enough replacement carpet to cover the four vertical sections of the floor-to-ceiling cat tree with some left over. My cats have loved it.

Q: Can it be removed from wood without ruining the finish?

It is not easy to remove the adhesive pad,. You can remove it with a dryer, Plug your hairdryer into the nearest power outlet and turn it on to a medium or high setting. Hold the hairdryer a few inches away from the tape and let the hot air blow over it, focusing on the edges and corners. This will cause the glue to soften. After a few minutes, set the hairdryer aside and try to pick at one of the corners of the tape with your fingernail. Most of the tape should come off. And do not ruin the finish.

Q: Material what kind of material is the carpet made out of?

I don't know exactly what the fiber content of the carpet is but it is synthetic (not wool or cotton). I adhered this carpet onto the plastic shelves in my cat cage where it functions beautifully. The carpet is low loop nap, very sturdy and easy to keep clean. It also provides great grip for my very active cat as she jumps from shelf to shelf, so I'm quite pleased with it.
