Context TLDR: I never knew what this was, but a video game called Dying Light had you eating Halva bars to survive. Then a co-worker brought some Halva to the office from a local Persian market and it was so delicious, creamy, smooth, and not too sweet. The earthiness with the pistachios made it so wonderful to eat. Fast forward 10 years, I don't live near there anymore, but have spent years trying multiple brands online and they were unsatisfying even including popular brands like Joyvah, which were not bad but just not what I was searching for. They were too oily, too sweet, or had very off-putting textures in the middle of the smooth parts that made me not want to buy again. They also didn't have that melt-in-your-mouth flavor and some brands even had a very off-putting aftertaste. Item Review: This is the first Halva that actually made me think I am eating the fresh made Halva from the local market. The texture was smooth and creamy from end to end. No weird chunk, or stringy sugar crystal formations and it broke down with hardly having to chew at all. The flavor was perfect. Just the right amount of sweet with the pistachios tasting normal and not dried or old. My really only complaint/ask would be to have more pistachio in it. Otherwise, anytime I get an urge to have Halva again, this is the brand I will choose over all others.

This is very delicious halva. I think the price is fair for what you get and the portion size is perfect. It's very sweet but not overly sweet, and it doesn't fall apart in your hands, if you're careful.

Good enough taste. Flavor is fresh, not stale at all. This halva has less "crunch" than I prefer to have in my halva... It has a more processed texture. Says pistachio, but none to be seen on top, and very few inside this halva. I won't buy this brand again.

I'm vegan and satisfying desserts are difficult to locate when I'm not in NYC. Most are like flavored air. This is really rich and satisfies the sweet tooth. It was very fresh, a little healthier than most desserts and although not cheap, is still a good value because a little goes a long way. A heavier sprinkle of pistachios would be a nice improvement.

Too good. Having a hard time not eating it all gone before 1 week.

For the price, I expected ground pistachio so it would have flavor throughout. But it only had whole nuts of pistachio throughout. Crumbly as heck. Dry as all get out. Do not thank you will be able to slice it. Should have gotten something else another brand. In fact, the other brand I got was better. I can’t believe Ppl said this was the best. I totally disagree. The best one I found has a German name and it was better and made in Israel and even though the other granddad hydrogenated vegetable shortening, it still tasted better and held together better and did not grumble everywhere when you touch it.

This is exactly what sesame halvah with pistachio should taste like - perfect balance and texture, melts in your mouth. It's truly excellent to my taste. I can't imagine it any better.
