I was too enamored of them to notice they are slip-ons. They can be laced but not quite as easily as regular lace-ups. I have opted to lace them with Bread elastic laces so they remain slip-ons. I would suggest considering a half-size smaller as they seem to be a little loose as I continue to wear them--why I opted to lace them. The navy is a great color with jeans and I like that the off-white is crisp but not too high contrast.

This is my second pair. So, yes I like this shoe, why? I live in Japan, which means - shoes on and off, a lot. So no laces with the elastic is a plus. These shoes make total sense, here and in Asia (the west will catch up LOL no worries) . The heel is easily crushable and is designed to be so, meaning you can wear them as slippers.OMG I'm lazy and I love it. Overtime (a day), it also ends up like a canvas glove over your foot. Super Snug. The last pair I owned, I wore to the end after 5 years. So, super value. I do wish they had other colours in my size (but maybe that is just an amazon thing) and I would certainly buy more of them if they did. These are made super strong, with minimal support, they are designed to be like walking barefoot. So if you are looking to not get wet feet etc... then look for something else, but if you are looking to have contact with the surface you walk on... look no further. Brilliant product. PS: They are great shoes for driving.
