works great and light weight
excellent Wok way better than NoN stick and a lot lighter than cast iron but works just as well as Cast iron. came fully season and ready to use but I season it anyway per the Instructions that came with it. 1st test was cooking tofu with a little oil. works just like a non stick wok none stuck to the bottom. and food is flavorful when using the wok. heat distribution is also very good can hear the sizzle when adding food to the wok. and its easy to clean as long as you clean it right after cooking. just use a paper towel and hot water from the sink.

This is a very fine wok offer.
This is a very well designed, beautifully made, and fairly-priced wok made in Taiwan, and this is your opportunity to have a wok which could work well and last longer than you. This 14-inch wok is big enough to make meals for several people but is not too big to make individual meals just for you. This is a Joyce Chen legacy wok having all of a wok's features. This wok is delivered preseasoned, not having a worthless non-stick paint job, and preseasoning is a valuable feature but preseasoned does not mean fully seasoned, so there will be some further work to be done by you before being used for cooking, and instructions for that are included in this wok's packaging. Start slow and easy, no more than a medium heat, keep the interior surface lightly oiled, use only wooden utensils and that way, over time and with plenty of use, this wok can develop a truly non-stick interior cooking surface. Otherwise, keep it clean, keep it completely dried by towels and/or by stove top warmth, and then keep it very lightly oiled, always.

Nice, but a bit too large for two...
Performed nicely, used it for several meals, but still larger for preparing Chinese meals for just the two of us.

Got this for my s/o. We've used it quite a bit over the past few months and it is fantastic. The factory seasoning does its job, cleans up easy. Cooks evenly too. I would recommend this wok to anyone jsut starting to get into cooking with a wok, as it is a price-to-performance hero.

Flat bottom WOK is not flat.
Flat bottomed WOK is NOT flat on bottom. Used on Inductive heat, it wobbles around from center, does not heat evenly. "Pre Seasoned" was poorly done. This is acase of having to FIX my purchase. I would NOT recommend this WOK. I suggest getting one is CAST IRON.

Still have to season, even if pre-seasoned,it filled home with voltaile fumes, ventilate, ventilate
Love it. I had to season it again x2, and the fumes filled the whole house, that airing, air purifiers and opening patio doors did not remove for about a WEEK. I think the seasoning process left off volatile oils or gases or something that clung to the walls, had to scrub everything down, and the smell still lingered. After about a week of airing, I was able to use the wok and it is fabulous! My advice, go to a thrift store and buy a used second hand WOK, to prevent the gaseous volatile smells linger in your home. I tried. I couldn't find any, so I went to this one, which is pre-seasoned. So I am thinking, This Joyce Chen is probably much BETTER than a lot of the unseasoned woks, since it is pre-seasoned!
