This is a solidly made, heavy duty latch that will do the job. Reasonably priced.

Works great! Very sturdy. Lockable. Took 5 mins to install. You may need longer screws depending on what you need to secure but the included ones worked for my application.

This is a nice quality latch and it works for both left and right and is lockable. I would have rated it a five, but the seller ships it with screws which are very short and really note usable. You will need new screws if you want this mounted well.

Good, still no rust after a couple of months,

I installed at a beach front house and so far after a month no signs of rust. Compared to a different thing I installed that has rusted.

I bought several of these to secure doors and windows on a large chicken coop in an area with a lot of predators including raccoons. This latch is simple to install, secure, and allows me to put a padlock or carabiner on for extra security to keep out nimble handed critters.

The problem with this latch is that all of the screw are accessible after installation. Someone could easily unscrew and remove this to gain access to whatever you're trying to secure I'm using it on the inside of my gate, so it'll suffice But I wouldn't recommend it if you're going to put a lock on it and attempt to secure someone because of the easy accessibility to the screws that attach it
