We have purchased a few VERY inferior digital thermometers from reputable pharmacies and online. This is the FIRST digital thermometer we've had that actually works, since one of our adult children "borrowed" our last Braun ear thermometer and never brought it back :) We LOVE the option of ages for scanning, and the light-up option for night scans. We will never purchase an inferior thermometer again. Braun makes the best!

We use the Braun ThermoScan 7+ for our whole household and it’s been reliable and easy to use. Readings are fast and consistent. The app tracking feature is what really sets it apart for us. Each family member has their own profile, and temperature history is shared across the family, which makes it easy to track trends over time. Worth having it.

My son was warm so we tested this out as soon as it was delivered. It works great! It takes the temp very quickly and seems to be accurate. Very helpful for a squirmy 1 year old vs taking a rectal temp.

I've purchased approximately a dozen thermometers since becoming a mom, and I'm so grateful I finally sprang for this one. I've tried underarm/rectal and several forehead. The underarm/rectal is supposedly the most accurate, but very difficult with wiggly babies and kids. The forehead thermometers were easy to use (I've tried several), but the temperature varied wildly - when you're in the thick of a sick baby, you want to know if the fever is 101 or 103, and your instinct to go to the doctor is very different for each. Anywho, after researching quite a bit I learned (though check with your own doctor!!) that in-ear is most accurate after rectal readings. I finally ordered this one, and I'm so glad I did. Not a day after it arrived my 4-year-old came down with a fever. This thermometer was a lifesaver. It's super easy to select the appropriate age and doesn't bother me at all that I need to do it each time (especially because I have two kids different ages). The temperature readings seem quite accurate. When my son was miserable, it was showing around 103.5 (yikes). When he started perking up I took it again, and sure enough his temp was down to 101.5. I really like the tracking in the app and particularly find it helpful for meds and knowing if/when I should readminister. Overall, I highly recommend this thermometer for anyone, but particularly those with young kids/babies.

Really easy to use, way better than any other thermometer i ever used, it is very accurate , I woudnt recommend a diff one, only drawback is that it had connectivity issues to the app

So bought this ahead of our 2nd kid, and we’ve had trouble with ear thermometer accuracy before, but shelled out the $$ for this one bc of the covers and CR rec, after our Walmart one kept having questionable accuracy despite cleaning sensor. holy guacamole , so worth it. 3yo woke up super upset in an unusual way at 11:30 at night. I was pregnant and had taken a unisom and woke up mid sleep cycle, and still was able to get this thing to work for the first time. Super easy to use. Kiddo had a fever, and now knows the colors and was like “red, I’m sick!” Can’t recommend enough. So many times you have check for fevers in the middle of the night, and it has to be easy to use.

When my original thermometer stopped working, I needed a new one and as I am a big fan of Braun brand, I went with this model Thermoscan 7 Ear. It's very easy to use by setting age range of individual and then came with disposable ear protection inserts. Do keep in mind you first have to select the age range before measuring. It wasn't a deal breaker for us, as it took a second to measure. Very accurate and simple to read. Batteries last a while. Very lightweight and easy to carry on the go if needed. It also lights up different colors depending on temperature level to indicate if fever is present. If there was something I could improve about this product I would change regular batteries to USB charging. That would make it convenient and simple for many parents. Otherwise, an excellent investment and well worth the value. I would recommend this!

Best thermometer I’ve owned. Accurate and quick reading. Great for kids. You have to make sure you’re actually getting it into the ear, but once you figure that out it’s easy to get readings. So easy my three year old can take my temp
