Excellent engraver for beginners
Let me preface this review by saying that I had zero previous experience with any type of engraver except the hand held vibrating electric ones (and minimal exposure to that). That being said, for a very much entry level person coming into the use of one of these I was impressed and I can see it becoming a new hobby. I find it easy to understand and use and I was able to create and engrave an image in a decent amount of time. There is definitely a learning curve but the instructions are good and there are plenty of online videos to help too. Definitely read the instructions before you use it and wear the glasses! I would recommend this to an entry level person looking to get into engraving or who has a project in mind.

Great little machine !
The build quality of this little machine is amazing. The size was perfect for my use , engraving leather. I recommend this for any small business doing engraving on their products. The handbook it comes with also helps a lot with settings, easy to understand. Overall very happy with the purchase.

Pleasantly surprised by this laser engraver!
For the price, this 2500mW machine delivers impressive results. Perfect for small wood/leather projects with crisp details. Compact and quiet - fits easily in my workspace.Setup takes some trial and error (instructions aren't great), but once dialed in, it works beautifully. Not industrial strength, but excellent for hobbyists. Safety glasses are a must!

Defective power supply, manual does not include error codes
My mother ordered one for me for my birthday, but it was lost in transit. The second one arrived today, and I spent hours trying to get it to work only to finally figure out that there's an issue with the power supply. The user manual does not have information to explain what the flashing light error codes are, which would have saved me a lot of trouble before figuring out it wasn't user error. Now I'm waiting on attempt #3 to hopefully get a working unit here. Giving this 1 star for now but will update it if I get a new unit quickly and it works as expected.

Good on wood, not as great on metal
First thing with this is that it was way out of adjustment at first. I got it tuned in, but it was definitely way out. It's extremely easy to get the software running. If you can read instructions, you can use this. I even had younger kids using it, and my elderly aunt had no problems with it. She is really not good with computers, so that's saying something. It's extremely fast. It doesn't take long at all to engrave something. The height adjustment knob was completely missing. I just used a screw. Outside of that, the build quality is quite nice. It's mostly aluminum. It's light and seems reasonably durable. It does quite a nice job on wood. It could use a bit more power for metal. It will work, but not nearly as well.

Great printer for many materials
Great entry level device. I did a few test prints on wood and it turned out really well. They even provide you with a small wooden plate to use as a sample.Setup is okay, just follow the directions and you'll be fine.Good quality print on wood, I can't say for other materials yet. Wood has no scoring or burns. It was very accurate and fun. They include everything you need to start printing, I would definitely use the glasses to prevent the brightness of the laser from blinding your eyes.

Only Engraves on Wood – Possibly a Defective Unit
I bought this engraver specifically to customize metal dog tags, but it only works on wood. I tried adjusting all the settings, watched tutorials, and even tested it on the sample cards included with the machine — nothing worked. While it engraves wood fairly well, it completely fails on other materials like coated metals. For a product advertised as versatile, this was pretty disappointing. That said, it’s possible I may have received a defective unit. Still, unless you only plan to work with wood, I’d recommend considering other options.

Not as scary as it seems
Right out of the box this thing looked a little intimating because I've never dealt with something like this. The instruction booklet was very straightforward in regards to what you need to download, where to get it, etc. You have to download 2 things prior to beginning but it only takes about 15 minutes or so to assemble, download and get going. The instruction booklet provides all the information you'll need whether you're engraving wood, paper, leather, bamboo, etc and also some tips and tricks in the back for whatever issue you may encounter. I tried engraving a pokemon onto the included piece of wood but I let my excitement take over and just went for it. For a little over $100 youre ready to begin learning to engrave so I thought that was really nice because once you learn, you can engrave various items for people and make more than $100 so that's my next goal with this, find something to engrave that will pay for the engraver itself. It was a very smooth first time engraving and I'm honestly surprised this costs what it does as I'd assume it would be closer to $250 or $300 once I actually saw it in person.
