For my product, I separated the herbs from the plastic bottle into three glass jars. I filled one Jar with Herbs and coconut oil and set aside the other two for later use. I set the jar with coconut oil out in the sun to melt for 3 days and brought it back in the house. After filtering the herbs out of the coconut oil (and storing the used herbs to be reused!), I've been using the super pretty pink oil in my hair routine. I like to use this product immediately after showering on my scalp. I LOVE this blend so much. It lasts you a very long time if you separate it, and the blend contains herbs that you would have to hunt down. If you want nice, healthy hair, do yourself a favor and grab it!

This is a really cool product. I've used some herb products that left "crumbs" in my hair. I wasn't crazy about that but the product worked so I figured I would try this. I got some good coconut oil and melted it a little so that it would easily go to the bottom of the big jar. I let it sit for several days and the oil turned a dark burgundy color. I first used it straight out of the jar. Then I melted it for several seconds in the microwave and strained it into another jar. That is a LOT of oil and should last a while. As far as my hair, it made my hair feel great of course like coconut oil would do but it is very lightly fragranced and is not congealing as coconut has a low melting point. I'm going to transfer the oil into even smaller bottles to make it easier to use. For only $10 plus the cost of whatever oil you use I think this is a great value for the amount of usable oil you get.

When I first received this herbal hair oil mix, I was a little disappointed with the packaging. The herbs residue had spilled inside the wrapping, making it a bit messy to open. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how much product was included, it was definitely a generous amount! I do wish it had come divided into smaller containers for easier use, but I ended up transferring everything into glass mason jars, which worked out really well. One thing I really appreciated was the clear labeling. The container listed all the ingredients and included simple instructions on how to prepare and use the oil. Since this was my first time using an herbal mix like this, I did some research and learned there are two main ways to infuse the oil: the sun method and the double-boiler/stovetop method. I chose the stovetop method because it's faster and I didn’t plan to reuse the herbs. I also learned that overheating herbs can destroy their beneficial properties, so I was careful with the process. After using the oil consistently, I noticed a real improvement in my hair, it feels healthier and looks fuller. Overall, despite the messy packaging, I’m very satisfied with this product and plan to purchase it again.

I have been studying up on Ayurvedic hair treatments and was so excited to see these herbs available. In studying some of the ingredients of the hair oil herbal blend, I found that many of these herbs are amazing for hair growth, length retention and strengthening the hair shaft. I’m not using coconut oil in my blend because I have had adverse reactions with coconut oil. Instead, I am using a blend of castor oil, jojoba oil, and avocado oil and I am using a glass mason jar to store the oil. The oil is steeping and I cannot wait to see the long term benefits! The herbs also smell pleasant. It’s great to know that I made this oil from scratch!

What a delightful herbal scent this has! This is a great idea too and ends up such a value since you can add more oil and let the herbs continue to infused the next batch. Obviously, it won't last indefinitely but I have used this method before with vanilla beans before and it lasts through several rotations. I have told myself I was going to make my own herbal concoctions more often but I have not taken the time. This has a beneficial blend already mixed up, and now all I have to do is add the oils (or maybe mix) that I feel would be the most useful for my hair. It can be personalized to suit your need! Fantastic idea. I hope they come up with mixes for skin as well, and other varieties.

It smells so good!!! it has the instructions on the canister. I used liquid coconut oil to pour into the canister, let it sit for a few days. We didn’t have a lot of sun this week, very cloudy. But it mixed really well with the coconut oil. Easy to strain through cheesecloth. Easy to use on hair. I felt like it has a henna hair dye effect. The coconut oil is making my hair soft. It has a lot of really good ingredients in it to help with keeping my hair its natural color. Would buy again.

Another idea is making a herbal hair rinse using the same method but with water instead of oil—this would be great for spritzing on roots on days you don’t want to use oil.
