This fixed the grinding noise in our two-year old GE / Hotpoint washer. The parts fit just like OEM parts, so replacing them is super easy. The belt that comes with this kit is a REALLY snug fit. We had to use a hair dryer to heat it up as we fit the belt on, but we eventually got it on. Getting that belt on is the hardest part of the process, but after it's all put together the washer works like new again. The awful grinding noise is gone, and the spin cycle spins out more water. The clothes were coming out wetter than they do with these new parts. We just got the parts on today, so I can't speak to the longevity of these parts but the quality of the parts seems on-par with the ones I took off. I would have expected a new washer to last longer than two years but that's the position that we found ourselves in. These parts brought ot back around. Get yourself a good grease to lube up the friction points. This kit doesn't include a tube of grease.

Washer was squeaking and grinding, this part fixed both sounds it squeaked a few times after new parts were installed but then back to normal

Once I re-assembled it, the item has been working well. This was assembled completely backwards from the factory. I had to put the gear back together once I saw how it was originally manufactured. Terrible workmanship!

The ring didn't fit. The old worked, so all was well.

Kit did not contain any white grease for clutch also wires on shifter are sloppy and not secured to the shifters main body like the factory part this has to be done before shifter is installed or these wires can be pinched during operating otherwise so far irs working and the grinding noise has stopped
