Dark Skys FX Zoom Planetarium Star Projector

I use this star projector every night before bed, and it’s honestly become part of my bedtime routine. The timer feature is extremely convenient—I just set it and fall asleep without worrying about getting up to turn it off after I've gotten comfortable.I purchased an extra disc which adds a twinkling effect that is really calming, and I love that you can adjust the focus so the stars are clear in any spot in your room, even a large one. The fact that it’s rechargeable and can be placed anywhere makes it even better. It transforms my whole space!I can't recommend this enough

Adding a zoom lens to a home planetarium was a very clever idea, this allows the projection of the night sky to fit any room. The projector is well designed and has a solid feel to it. It comes with 3 high resolution star discs that include the Northern hemisphere disc, moon disc, and constellation disc. There are other discs available. The image resolution and clarity are amazing, far better than any of these other small planetariums I have tried.

This little projector is a total game changer. It’s the first home planetarium I’ve seen with a zoom lens, which means you can adjust the image size to perfectly fit your room. That feature alone makes it stand out, but the image quality and build are on another level compared to other compact projectors I’ve tried.The stars look incredibly crisp and realistic—it really feels like you’re looking at the night sky, not just a basic projection. If you’re into stargazing or just want something relaxing and unique for your space, I’d highly recommend this one. It’s easily the most impressive home planetarium I’ve come across!

I love this little star projector! I was looking for something to light up my bedroom at night that wasn’t the tv, and after living in the city for so long I’ve really missed seeing stars. This is perfect! It’s so soothing, I love to just lay and watch it.I didn’t understand that it rotates when it bought it. It has three speeds. The fast speed makes me a bit dizzy on the star slides although it’s cool on the stormy night slide. Mostly I use it on the slowest speed.The timer is a great feature too, I just turn it on and go to sleep after a while. The zoom feature is a game changer as I can make it fit any room I take it into. And the cordless feature is super helpful if I want to move it between rooms or adjust the placement of the projector.I’m not an astronomer so I have no idea about how scientifically accurate what I’m looking at is, but I can absolutely pick out some recognizable stars. This is definitely not the kids toy version, this thing is really neat.I can’t wait for Dark Skys to come out with more discs, like the nebula disks they have for the other model. The only discs currently available are just black and white. I hope they have more discs soon!As a note I bought directly from the Dark Skys website. They had a package that included all the current discs that wasn’t available on Amazon, but it’s the same product.

I ordered it directly from Dark Skys.First I printed a dust cover for the lens :)The zoom and focus rings operate smoothly and without wobble.No comparison to any other home planetarium.The projections are very bright and sharp. It looks really good. The zoom lens is brilliant.Shipping, customs, and taxes to Germany were a bit expensive, but the FX zoom is worth it.I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
