There are different ways to use it but personally I like to squeeze it in a cup of hot water and drink it like tea. Add a bit of honey works well too.

I've tried this on ice cream, and straight up, here's what I found: By itself, while it's not super thick, it has a heavy syrupy flavor similar to an unsweet elderberry syrup, but it has a much more bitter end. I could see it being an acquired taste, maybe even quickly. Taking it all at once seemed to have less bitterness after, so maybe I needed to mix it up a bit? On vanilla ice cream it just kind of ruined the ice cream flavor for me. I suppose if you really like the ginsing flavor it would be good. It's not sweet itself, and kind of fights the ice cream sweetness or gets overtaken by it (depending on how much you use), it doesn't really compliment it. For the health benefits, I'll just take it straight up as a supplement. I'll probably come to enjoy it before long, like how I enjoy black coffee, finding the pleasant notes in an otherwise bitter drink. Perhaps it's a lesson on life, a mature outlook teaching us to find the bright side even in the darkest of times... Or maybe that's just the ginsing talking...
