Mrs Renfros Ghost Pepper Salsa 16 oz & Habanero Hot Salsa 16 oz (Variety Pack)

Markets around me no longer have this salsa for whatever reason. I love this salsa so am happy that I can buy from amazon. it is about the same price I paid per item at the market.

A great brand, at a great price, that tastes great. This brand isn’t always available in our local store in Western MA, so we sometimes buy it off Amazon. We like all the flavors, though the ghost pepper one is a bit on the hot side. The mango flavor isn’t as sweet/fruity/mango-y as other brands are, so we like that flavor a lot too.

This salsa, the HABANERO, from Mrs. Renfro's is hands-down my favorite through the years. We are a "spicy" family and have a collection of around 20 always in rotation. Different spice levels, textures, brands, uses. For every day, this one is the staple-- a great salsa for chips/dip and so on. Understandably, we consume spicier foods than many might like, yet all said...would still categorize this one as a MED-HOT. The Ghost Pepper is most definitely the next spice level up (which I also like, but is too much for the average). This one is simply great alone or added into things- flavor not too heavy with tomato, not at all smoky (I personally don't like that) and texture teetering on perfect...any chunkier and I wouldn't like it. Out of literally HUNDREDS of salsas tried, again, as a daily this one is a consistent winner amongst our group of friends & family. *FYI: Anyone that thinks Tabasco is a salsa- it's not...it's a hot sauce. Totally different thing from salsa. And for reference, with "sauces," people are either Tabasco/ Tapatio or Cholula- I'm anything other than Tabasco, as that's just flavored vinegar.

I found the salsa very good tasting, but I did not consider it hot.

Wasn’t as hot as I had hoped or expected, but good.
