My First Farm (Picture Cards) Cards – 5 April 2018

I'm a fan of these cards. Can talk about them with the child using the prompts on the cards but also other questions. We then for example look on you tube for the combine harvester. We can play match the plastic animal toy to the cards or have races to see who finds a particular card first and can call the animals out by name, colour, features (feathers, udder, beak etc). We talk about cows giving us milk, chickens giving us eggs etc. Then we can go to the farm (not got that far due to the pandemic). Same discussion can be had from different toys/books but these cards work nicely for us.
