To keep this review brief, let me just say that I am on the spectrum and recently have noticed an uptick in meltdowns and shutdowns. This time of year is generally hard for me, mentally and emotionally, so that is not surprising in and of itself. But Recess Mood drinks are like a mental shift canned just for me. *The powder does not work as well for this purpose. That is better for the "restless legs" I can experience at night sometimes, especially if I have not intensely worked out recently.* Regardless, the canned Recess Mood drinks not only a) make me feel like someone put a cloud over my head, dulling aggressive "rumblings" or in-the-loop logic that is unhelpful, b) relax my body only just enough to make my shoulders not feel as tense, c) actually turn down the dial on my anger if I am upset about something, but d) truly can make the difference between me having a good day/night/whatever or an absolutely AWFUL one. I did read online that magnesium l-threonate is particularly good for autistic individuals so that could be one reason I personally find this so effective. I take many different herbs for many different things (I eschew actual medicine whenever possible) and the combination of magnesium, B6, and adaptogens in these canned drinks are a true winner for me. I just wish that they were not so expensive because, at this time of year, I basically need to drink one every day. And if anyone cares: I particularly like the Strawberry Rose (extra relaxing due to the rose!) and the Peach Ginger flavors. The Lime Citrus is a hit or miss with the good cans tasting rather like Sprite (which I don't drink anymore) and the not as good cans being kind of blah. The other flavors are fine but I generally try to buy the three that I listed, if given the option and the price is right.

Recess Mood is one of those drinks that’s easy to reach for when you need a breather. Great way to supplement magnesium for individuals who run low in magnesium or for individuals who find migraine relief/ pain relief from higher amounts of magnesium supplements. I found this product to be relaxing and tasty. Taste is light and it is carbonated so if you’re not into mild flavor carbonation drinks than this might not be for you. It definitely helps me relax, sleep better and magnesium is great for pain relief and helps keep you regular also lol tmi I know , but this drink really can be helpful as a treatment option for ailments. It’s also a great replacement drink for those who do not drink alcohol but want to have a drink with friends. It will not give you a buzz or anything like that but it definitely has a chill factor to help you relax. Wish it wasn’t so pricey but it’s pricey no matter where you purchase it. Its a decent supplemental drink and is on my repurchase list.
