Worked great for clear coat
The media could not be loaded. Used this gun with sherwin Williams fc720 clear coat and it worked great. Atomized the material great came out smooth like glass All around except my hood that was my fault (user error) but def would buy again. I needed this gun as I was in a pinch on time and showed up quick what a great gun for the price

Decent spray guns for the money. Make sure to clean before use!
I needed new spray guys for spraying automotive primer, paint and clear coats.Took a chance on these guns and what I’ve found is:The paint gun, regardless of a 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.8, or 2.0 in my case MUST be completely torn down, stripped and cleaned before even thinking of using. There is some sort of thread sealant on the portion of the brass part of the nozzle of the gun, and it’s truly a pain to clean this out.I have found remnants of metal from when the tips were machined on at least 3 of the 5 spray guns I purchased. After dialing in the guns, I found the 1.3 is fantastic for spraying clear coat. The 1.4 and 1.5 guns are great for base coat materials. My 2.0 gun got blocked up from trying to spray a 0.015 metalflake, however I had too much flake in my intercoat which settled and clogged the gun up.Overall, these guns do their job decently well and for a guy wanting to spray stuff, they will do the job.Only gripe I had was the 1.4 was out of stock, so I bought a second 1.3 gun and a 1.4 tip kit, and just swapped out.Color coding on some of the gun parts makes it nice to ID a clear, base coat or primer gun to keep things separate especially when doing multiple colors on custom work.Decent spray guns for the money. Make sure to clean before use!

Sprays Ben Moore Advance latex paint
I bought this to try while doing a kitchen renovation job. I have various sprayers from Graco, but the paint is applied to thick for cabinet work soni use them for just house exteriors. I tried this for fun and it really impressed me. I will be buying another one. It sprayed Ben Moore Advance latex in satin right from the gallon and when it dried I then used the same gun to spray Lenmar 50/50 mix matte and satin top coat and the results are incredible. I never tried this with another 1.3 gun, but this gun handled it well and cleaned up easily after each use. On top of that, I originally thought I would have to use about two gallons of paint for the job, but only needed one gallon. There was a slot of mist, but I had fans to exhaust my shop. I got great even coverage with very little waste. I highly recommend it.

Proper case of get what you pay for.Not a bad gun would be ok out of the box for small home projects.Out of the box there was a fair amount of casting/machining roughness in the air cap and around the fluid tip, and the way the air cap centered over the fluid tip when tightened down gave a kidney bean shaped spray pattern.I used sharpened drill bits by hand to smooth the edges around the air and fluid tips and fine sandpaper, got the holes round and the tolerances better, the spray pattern is more even now, sprays too heavy with the product dial open all the way so I put it in one full turn. This brought the pattern to an acceptable size and shape while still putting enough product out (waterbase automotive paint)All in all for the price it’s fine for a DIY

Excellent performance and value
I built a wooden boat and painted it with a Wagner Flexio 3000 electric HVLP that cost $170 from the orange big box. The experience was miserable. I had to sand, then wet sand, then buff and then polish the whole boat afterwards. I am now replacing the center console and decided to buy this TCP spray gun to paint it. WOW what a difference at nearly 1/3 the price of that other painting system. I may have to wet sand small areas of the console, but that’s probably due to my inexperience laying down the specialized paint (water based cross-linked LPU paint from System Three). I wish I could go back in time and use this gun to spray the boat. I knocked one star off because the nozzle is ridiculously over tightened from the factory, or maybe it has a thread sealant(?). I’m going to break those threads loose today to finish cleaning the internals. You shouldn’t need to mount the gun in a vice to break it down. Overall very happy with this.
