It works, it's fast, it's pretty quiet. The instructions are very lackluster (it even had pictures of a different kit), which was a little daunting for me. There's a decent delay between hitting the throttle and getting the power, not too bad though. The bag for the controller is not great, the cables go through a hole that's almost in the center of the bag, which makes routing awkward.The battery I paired it with uses Anderson power poles, so I bought an adapter to go from Anderson to O-ring. The O-rings on the adapter were too big for the junction box that came with this motor, I probably could have taken a file to the junction box to make the O-rings fit but I just used a different junction box entirely.The bike I installed all of this on is a Zizzo Ferro. I do have an issue where if I shift into 1st gear the derailleur scrapes against the hub. I'm afraid there might not be enough clearance. I haven't tried messing with the derailleur configuration yet though, I will update this review if I'm able to fix it. The cassette on this motor is 14-28T, exact same as the Zizzo Ferro so I just used my chain as-is.I did not install the brakes or the pedal assist (yet) or the grips.

I installed this on my 20 year old, quality hardtail MTB. I paired it to a 48V, 1000W battery and I am beyond pleased. My teenage son loves it, being able to ride several days between charges. The kit was so easy to install too. It took me only a couple of hours and he was riding around the neighborhood.
