This Alpyn Melt Moisturizer is a rich, luxurious moisturizer. It feels thick and creamy. It has a light scent that smells like grapefruit to me. It's not my absolute favorite scent, but I also don't find it to be unpleasant. The scent dissipates as soon as the moisturizer is absorbed into my skin. This moisturizer does need a few minutes to fully absorb. It also doesn't work great under makeup; I've found that it causes my primers and liquid makeup products to pill up a little. If I wait about fifteen minutes after applying the moisturizer before applying any makeup products, it doesn't pill up nearly as much. However, I'm impatient when getting ready and don't like to wait after applying my skincare, so I prefer to use this on days I'm not wearing makeup.I have dry, sensitive skin. This does not irritate my skin at all, although it does make my skin feel slightly tight for about a half hour after I apply it. It's also hydrating and makes my skin softer. Since my skin is so dry, I like to use a lighter moisturizer during the day and a heavier moisturizer at night. While this moisturizer does feel heavy, it's still not quite as hydrating as I need for the nighttime, so it's a better daytime moisturizer for me. I believe it would work well as a night cream for folks with normal or oily skin, though.This is a high quality product. It makes my skin look more plumped, and I think it helps reduce the fine lines around my mouth a tiny bit. However, since it works best for me as a daytime moisturizer, but only on days I don't wear makeup, I'm not sure if I would get it again, because there are other moisturizers that work equally as well for me and can also be worn more easily under makeup. I would still recommend this, though, and I think folks with normal or oily skin will be able to use it during the day or at night.

I’m in my late 40s and I’ve developed some fine lines. It didn’t bother me as much before but now that my skin routine has been more involved, I notice them more. I also think that my skin looks dull sometimes unlike when I was in my 20s when I had glass-like skin. Now, aging and the stress of daily life has taken a toll on my skin so I’ve been more proactive in maintaining my skin and not make it worse. I have very sensitive skin that’s on the dry side especially after washing my face and some parts get oily by the end of my day. My skin loves moisturizers so I decided to try this product.MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRODUCT1. I thought that it was nicely packaged. Quite compact.2. Upon opening, there is a lid that protects the moisturizer inside like other moisturizers. I usually use what’s on the lid first before dipping into the conditioner and then get rid of the lid.3. There wasn’t a lot of product on the lid but when I applied it, the product glided very easily and it felt very rich and dense. Like a night cream consistency. I didn’t need to use as much as I usually do so it felt like I used too much.4. Due to the amount of product I used, it took some time to absorb. However, my face felt very plump and moisturized.5. I’ve now adjusted and don’t use as much as it’s pretty concentrated in a very good way.6. There is a very nice pleasant scent that’s not overpowering.7. I have very sensitive skin that tends to lean on the dry side after a face cleanse. This moisturizer works very well with my sensitive skin. I feel hydrated the whole day. With my other moisturizers, I sometimes have to apply them again during the middle of the day to keep my skin hydrated. I don’t need to do that with this product. It’s able to keep me moisturized the whole day.8. I haven’t noticed any changes when it comes to my fine lines. The product states it helps with fine lines. However, I’ve only started to use this product for about a week. If there are any changes, I will update. It says it can take up to 28 days.OVERALL IMPRESSION: I really like this moisturizer. It’s very rich and concentrated and is able to keep me hydrated all day long. I think it’s cost-effective as I don’t have to use as much product.

After several tries with the Alpyn Beauty Melt Moisturizer, I’ve come to realize it’s not the right fit for my routine. While it's described as weightless and brightening, I found the texture a bit clingy—like there was always a layer sitting on top of my skin. Touching my face with damp hands felt oddly slippery, almost like a face wash. On one occasion, it even pilled when layered over a serum. When used alone, it left my skin looking rather dull instead of hydrated. I am not a huge fan of the light grapefruit scent. I do appreciate the glass jar, but unfortunately, the formula just didn’t deliver for me. For the price tag, I expect to be wowed. Others might have better success, but I’m moving on.
