Q: I'm looking to lightly raise the ppm of ro water for use with living soil. is this a good option and are there others i should consider? thanks!

This supplement will add a very low ppm - about 20ppm. It will also increase the solution pH quite a bit. You might also want to consider a cal-mag supplement with a very low N (1-0-0 or 0-0-0) to minimize Nitrogen stack up. The cal-mag should help stabilize pH better. That said, adding Silica is almost always a good idea.

Q: Does this reduce stretch during flowering and also increase node spacing?

Great question. Silica Gold helps thicken cell walls and strengthens stalk and leaf tissue. It also helps increase water transport. It does not directly reduce stretch or increase internal spacing, that is controlled more through plant hormones and nitrogen availability. That said, one of the best ways to reduce stretching is to grow healthy and 'low stress' plants. This means ample light, space, air-flow, and minerals. Silica is a great part of that type of systematic approach.

Q: How does this compare to Power Si ?

TPS Silica Gold has a higher Soluble Silicon percentage, lab testing at over 4.5%. It contains both organosilicates as well as a a fulvic acid chelated silica. It is concentrated, but when added to feedwater these forms of silica become orthosilisic acid, which is then uptaken by plants.

Be sure to shake well when you are using an oil essentials because we know that water 💧 and oil 🛢 don't mix well. If you shake, and spray your in good shape 👌.
