An Absolute Masterpiece of Portable Power
After an exhaustive search for a true desktop replacement that refused to compromise, my journey has emphatically ended with the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i. To call this just a "gaming laptop" feels like a disservice; it's a meticulously engineered marvel that redefines what's possible in a portable form factor. The performance is, in a word, staggering. The combination of the Intel Core Ultra 9 and the RTX 5070 Ti GPU chews through every modern title I've thrown at it without breaking a sweat. Even notoriously demanding games run with a fluidity that has to be seen to be believed, maintaining high frame rates that take full advantage of the display. And let's talk about that display, because it deserves its own chapter. The 16-inch 2.5K OLED panel is breathtaking. The infinite contrast with true, deep blacks and the sheer vibrancy of the colors make every visual experience, from gaming to content creation, utterly captivating. Paired with a silky-smooth 240Hz refresh rate, the clarity and responsiveness are simply on another level. It has genuinely ruined other screens for me. What's equally impressive is the thermal management. Even when pushing it hard using Lenovo Vantage's preset performance modes, the laptop never feels like it's overheating. It gets warm, as expected from a high-performance machine, but the heat is managed so well that the keyboard and typing area remain remarkably comfortable. I've personally tweaked the custom power profiles, and the level of customization has allowed me to optimize performance to even greater lengths, all without the hardware risks of traditional overclocking. What truly seals the deal is the incredible value proposition. In a market saturated with overpriced options, this machine feels like a hidden gem. It trades blows with laptops costing hundreds more, offering flagship-tier performance and features without the exorbitant price tag. Lenovo has found the perfect sweet spot. Every aspect of the Legion Pro 7i feels premium, from its solid aluminum chassis to the scorching-fast storage. If I had to pinpoint the one area where a budget-conscious decision was made, it's the plastic trackpad. Frankly, it's a brilliant choice. In a machine this powerful, it's the only noticeable compromise, and for any serious user who brings their own mouse, it's a complete non-issue. It shows Lenovo put the money where it truly counts. They haven't just built a great laptop; they've earned a new loyal customer. If you are on the fence, consider this your sign. This is the one. An unreserved five-star recommendation.

I’m impressed
I’ve been using the Legion Pro i7 (RTX + Intel i7 configuration) for a few weeks, playing a variety of modern AAA and multiplayer games — and overall, I’m impressed. Here’s the full breakdown from a gamer’s point of view: What I really like Performance: This thing is a powerhouse. It handles demanding titles (think open-world, high-settings) without breaking a sweat. When you crank up settings or use high refresh rates, the i7 + RTX combo keeps fps stable and smooth — no noticeable lag even in hectic firefights or big open-world scenes. Display: The screen is . Crisp visuals, vibrant colors, and smooth frame delivery make everything look clean — from fast-paced shooters to cinematic story-games. As a gamer who cares about immersion, that matters a lot. Versatility: It doesn’t feel like a gaming-only machine. I’ve done some lighter tasks, streaming, and even editing-type work (video/audio) and the system handles it like a champ. Perfect if you want one machine for both gaming and “real life.” Build & convenience: Keyboard and overall build feel sturdy and premium. Ports, connectivity and cooling seem well-balanced — you can plug in accessories, external drives or headsets without fuss; fans don’t get unbearably loud unless under heavy load. What you should know / What could be better Battery life: Don’t expect long unplugged sessions. Like most powerful gaming laptops, the battery drains fast if you actually game on battery power. For anything heavy (games, rendering), you’ll want to be plugged in. Portability vs performance tradeoff: It’s not a super-light laptop. If you move the machine around a lot (school, cafés, trips) you’ll feel the weight. It’s better suited as a “desktop replacement” rather than a daily-carry laptop. Power draw and heat (if pushed hard): With high settings and long sessions, expect the fans to come alive and the machine to get warm. It’s manageable, but noticeable — plan accordingly if you game on your lap or in hot environments

Great laptop
Amazing laptop with great specs / price. Cooling is so much better than my previous laptop it runs quieter to keep cool and lot have to ramp up the fans to annoyingly high levels to game. The OLED screen is beautiful and fast. Although I’ve mostly used it for some school work and plugged into the living room TV for games. It’s a bit wider than other 16” laptops so you I made sure to get a larger 17” laptop backpack to make sure it fit. It didn’t fit my older bag made for “up to 16””. Battery isn’t great, but I knew that with those specs it wouldn’t be. If you want great battery life get a Mac Pro or similar. It’s a bit better if run on the internal graphics and not doing demanding tasks. I recommend the legion 7 completely. It’s nice to have a key pad on the right. My last laptop HP omen didn’t have one and when you gotta punch in numbers it’s convenient. Most of the RGB can be turned off. All in all it’s great. :-)

Amazing laptop
I ordered this laptop from US to EU, mostly due to ANSI keyboard. In EU, you can buy only ISO standard, which I am not a fan of. Laptop has really beautiful screen - OLED, I loved it from first sight. I checked cm by cm / inch by inch and there are no dead pixels, really good quality both screen and overall laptop - it has solid aluminum build. Application Legion Space allow you to control heat and fan - by changing mode. On balance / custom mode I found it's working really good, I have around 90 °C CPU, GPU is even lower. Some users complain about fan and heat - but they do not control mode. Speakers are really loud with good bas. Keyboard is really clicky and comfortable to type. Disadvantage of this laptop is battery - it's draining really fast, but you cannot have everything this is cost of this beautiful screen and for me it's far more important then battery.

I'm yet to actually use the laptop, just arrived. I asked specifically if this came with a plug suitable for UK households and was told no, but it does come with an adaptor. Low and behold there's no adaptor. I don't appreciate being lied to
