Yes, I use this product for my ponytail palms and it does deepen the green foliage. Do not overuse, especially in potted palms. Also, if you have anything around the tree that is white, move it before application as it will turn a rusty brown color. Once it's applied and watered, I spread a thin layer of sandy soil over the top before replacing white stone, shells, etc.
