I seriously thought this would be cloth material, yet still sturdy, when I ordered it. I was pleasantly surprised that the lanyard piece was a hard vinyl plastic material when I got it. Though I couldn't figure out how to open it as there are no instructions (husband had to help). But we got it open and it fits my key card for work perfectly. I really like the retractable piece too. I am not sure which one I will use more often. It also came with multiple options to attach your keycards differently; meaning keyrings, clips, quick release, and button clasp. You can use these attachment on either the lanyard or the retractable as the attachments are interchangeble. It is very well made and I love the floral pattern.

ALMOST what I was looking for! An ID Badge holder - check. A retractable security badge - check. A place to clip a pen - check. A key-chain holder - check. A breakaway fastener - Oops, not there! I was looking for a breakaway ID holder with the safety feature that if it is caught up in machinery, or grabbed by a patient, it won't choke me, but would break away and release me. The colors are indeed a "Splash" of color, and it looks cool, but missing that one feature means I can't use it at work on a daily basis, as I had hoped. Oh, well, the search goes on...

I love that it gives me options for wearing my badge and my keys ... and who doesn't love a sunflower
