Fits, plain and simple
This product fit my lens exactly as it was advertised to.Something to keep in mind when putting on a Nikon lens is that it needs to "snap" into place, just like the OEM. If the hood is loose, check to make sure you have rotated the hood all the way to the end and that it has snapped in place. It is very easy to not snap it and the hood will rotate off the lens and be loose.Very happy with my purchase.

Don't Believe the Positive Reviews
I have a Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II kit lens on my camera and I ordered this lens hood thinking it would work. Bad idea. It arrived and it does not screw on or attach to the lens in anyway whatsoever. At best, it kind of stays on the lens if you keep it extremely stable, otherwise it falls off.

Does NOT fit the 18-55mm DX AF-P lens (kit lens with the D7500).
Perhaps it fits the DX AF-S f/3.5-5.6G VR II lens, but it does NOT fit on my wife's 18-55mm FX AF-P f/3.5-5.6G VR lens. :(The details should make it clear given the similarities between these two lenses.

This does NOT fit the Nikon 18-55mm lens as advertised. Very disappointing, I have returned the lens hood and I will be purchasing from another vendor.
