Does anyone know where that shield and sword from the reviews is from???

Hi there. The McFarlane Wonder Woman figure (the first of its kind from the '1984' movie) does not come with a shield and a sword - only the golden lasso. I am not sure which review you are referring to. I had attached a few photos of two McFarlane Wonder Woman figures to a review I did on the armored Wonder Woman. In the photos, I placed the two McFarlane Wonder Woman figures with figures produced by Mattel and DC Direct. These other figures had a shield and sword. These are old figures and no longer available at retail. Amazon might have them. McFarlane produced another 2 Wonder Woman figures recently which have different costumes. I can't recall if these come with a sword and shield. You can view them on the Amazon website. These are on sale in stores. Don't seem to be selling well.

How long would this last if used as a toy? My kid is only 6, but ... this is so cool.

McFarlane Toys are not really toys – they are better suited for display in showcases than as playthings. I can’t say specifically how long the Wonder Woman figure will last as a plaything since I collect action figures for display only, which includes over 70 made by McFarlane Toys since 1995. There is a high probability that the wings will fall off, and will keep falling off, when treated as a toy. The limbs might also break if the figure is roughtly handled. I mentioned a problem with the wings in the recent review I did on this Wonder Woman 1984 figure. The main components arre durable but the joints and some accessories are fragile. I had limbs and accessories falling of a few McFarlane figures over the years even though I did not play with them. Just 3 months ago, I glued back a leg that fell off a ‘Sea Creature’ that I bought from McFarlane Toys some 16-18 years ago. The leg broke off shortly after purchase. I would advise that McFarlane action figures be treated as display collectibles – very cool, nicely crafted, realistic and nice to look at - there’s even beauty in the most hideous subjects such as the alien monster from The Thing movie, the Heap monster, the Frankenstein monster, etc. The McFarlane figures that can be played with are the Fortnite characters. Wonder Woman action figures have been made by Kenner. DC Direct, Mattel and recently by McFarlane Toys. Few of these Wonder Woman action figures are actually toys. The old Kenner figure and the Mattel figures based on the TV cartoons were the real toys. I have photographs of my Wonder Woman figures made by different manufacturers in my review of the Wonder Woman 1984 figure.

The figure is 7 inches tall. I am not able to attach a photograph but you may refer to my review of the armored Wonder Woman (1984) in the Amazon product review. The figure you are enquiring about is shown in the photos attached to the product review. You will be able to see a size comparison in the photos where the figure is placed beside the McFarlane armored Wonder Woman figure and older Wonder Woman figures from other manufacturers - Kenner, DC Direct and Mattel.
