Why does this “newer version” now have silicone in it?

Our current formula incorporates a very small amount (less than 0.1%) of Polysilicone-11 in it, ranked as a 1 with EWG, and acts as a solvent to contribute to the formulas smooth feel.

Does anyone have experience with the coconut scent of this product repelling mosquitos?

My husband used it every summer day. He rarely leaves it on in the evening hours. Not certain about repelling mosquitoes, but it’s a good sunscreen!
