Not heavy duty but adequate weight for most users. Love the hummingbirds!

This bookends are cute and quirky looking. They are exactly what I expected. Although light weight, the base is long & sturdy enough that they will easily hold several standard size hardcover books and paperbacks. I don't know that the end pieces would be tall enough to hold larger tomes or binders. Keep in mind that the design stands out from the end of the books, so you will need to take that extra length into consideration. I have mine on top of a small bookcase. Overall I love these bookends, they make me smile and I feel the price was fair.

Sturdy, comes with non skid pads. Good attention to detail on the powder coat, no sharp edges.

These are perfect for what I needed! They are so cute and sturdy! Lightweight too! And they even come with little rubber bumpers to put on so you don’t scratch your bookshelf! Love these!

These bookends are adorable, but unless your books can already hold themselves up and you are only buying these as decorations, they are worthless for actually holding books. My daughter's books on her desk are constantly falling over, which then knocks over her pencil holder and everything else. We've tried weighing down the outside parts, and that seems to help until something gets moved. They just aren't reliable to do their one job. I now have to buy her real bookends that actually hold books. Waste of money.
