365 by Whole Foods Market, Organic Fennel Seed, 1.02 Ounce

I bought this to help me with my digestion. It was important to me to buy an organic product and I was glad that the 365 brand carried it. It was a good value, and the fennel had a good taste (didn't taste old or stale). For those who have not tried this spice before I would say it taste a bit sweet and reminds me slightly of licorice or anise, it is commonly used in spicing Italian pork sausages if that helps you place the flavor. Was great for dishes, making tea, or simply chewing after a meal. This did wonders for the bloating I was experiencing after meals! Would highly recommend.I now want to build up a stock so I never run out- waiting to see if they will go on sale, but so far I have not seen a sale. However, even when not on sale, it is a good value. Have only seen organic fennel seed priced slightly better at a subscription based online retailer.

Fennel with hot water improves digestion.. and the flavour is so good..worth the price!!

Flavorful. Soak in a liquid of choice to soften. I use it in soup dishes so it softens during the cooking process.
