Sushi Nori Seaweed Sheets - 50 Sheets - Blue Gyoumu Yo Premium Quality 5.29-Ounce Sealed Pouche

I've recently acquired a taste for sushi and rolling them at home, and this was my first packet of Nori sheets. I don't really have any basis for comparison but found this brand of seaweed sheets to be strong and crisp for a tight roll, great flavor and the right size. It came well packed in a resealable pouch and I will definitely be repurchasing it!

Since recent studies show that Nori is one of the top food choices to minimize cancer activity, (see Dr. Michael Greger, and type in Nori, and watch the video on the studies) I have increased the amount of nori we are eating at home. This Nori has the good taste that I need for making sushi rolls, and for other recipes.

The taste is a subtle earthy sea flavor, not much else to be said about it. The smell however was an overpowering sea food smell. It wasn't an appetizing smell.It wrapped around some Onigiri without breaking. However it was chewy and felt filmy after chewing.While some may like it, I do not.

I may be a novice sushi maker... but I've never had something break up so much when trying to roll. Even when I tried to pre-moisten it pieces came off. We ended up chucking it in the trash. If you are looking for the same quality as in the store, don't buy this in bulk!

These are perfect for sushi - they are slightly chewy, without a very strong taste (which I prefer). Very easy to work with - rice sticks to it like a charm, making it easy to do lots of different types of rolls, especially with the rice on the outside which can be tricky.

I use this to wrap around tuna, crumble into salads and stir into hot dishes. It mimics spinach when stirred into casseroles. It doesn't state that it boosts metabolism but I read it in a health magazine and I believe that it works.

I am no expert but I didn't want a fishy tasting product. I read the reviews and decided on this one and am glad I did. I love the taste and the chew of the texture. The color is nice too. I will buy this product again!

Love this stuff. I've been a fan of Sushi for about 10 years now and got bit by the DIY bug. This Seaweed is very tasty, holds together nicely and is every bit as good as anything I've eaten over the years. Will definitely be buying again!
