This filter was a perfect replacement for our AP904 system and installed without any issues. We initially switched to the 917HD-S back in 2024 because our city water contains a noticeable amount of scale and organic iron, which had been affecting our plumbing and water quality.Since the switch, the water now smells, tastes, and looks much better. People in need have even been able to take clean water from our office to use at home, and drinking directly from the tap has become safe again. We've also seen less discoloration in our humidifiers during cleaning, and skin and gastric irritation issues have disappeared.I’m always on the lookout for discounts since the filter does cost a bit, with many relying on it, and that’s when this one showed up on my program recommendations. It’s a great all-in-one solution that combines sediment filtration, chlorine taste/odor reduction, and a scale inhibitor.So far, water quality seems clean and fresh as usual. The performance-to-price ratio is better than the more expensive 3M brand, and with a claimed lifespan of up to a year, it’s a worthwhile investment for full-office coverage. There's been no drop in water pressure even with regular use across, I think this filter works exactly as it should .As long as it lasts down the road for the expected period, I am willing to come back to buy more when needed.

Installation of this filter to my existing cartridge for my system was very simple as it aligned with my system perfectly with absolutely no leaking. It latched shut completely with no added resistance. After completing the swap I noticed the water from my kitchen and bathroom faucet had almost no cloudiness to it and the sediment moisture was less.I initially picked this one after looking at costs, but also evaluated the potential life of the filter and future replacement costs.I noticed a small taste improvement over just drinking from the tap. Overall, based on the ease of swap and how well it filtered and worked out of the box, this cartridge met all the key criteria for a quality replacement filter for me.

I liked that I didn’t need a filter wrench, and I didn’t have to touch the inside of the cartridge at all. The plastic housing and carbon block inside feel durable and well-made. What stands out most, though, is how much better my cold tap water tastes. There’s no more weird flavor, and it doesn’t leave that dry feeling in my mouth. For anyone on the fence about using a whole house filter, this one makes the process smooth and manageable.

Installed this filter, and the water already feels different. The whole house system runs smoother, and there's definitely less of that chlorine smell when I shower or wash dishes. I only got the single filter and installation wasn’t complicated at all. The flow rate seems totally normal—no slowdown in the kitchen or laundry room. I’m using this on a well-maintained system, and so far, it’s doing the job it promised.

The price is two third of the 3M’s. The flow rate is better but it leaks when it gets closer to the end of life.

I got this replacement filter to handle sediment and help with scale, and the process was easy with straightforward instructions. It is wonderful to know I'm getting cleaner water throughout the entire house, whether I'm making coffee, washing dishes, or showering.
