Can this be used as a styler like some of the other Shea Moisture products?

No this is specifically a deep conditioner but in my opinion this isn't a good product it's sticky and paste like substance

can I leave it in overnight?

yea you can but if you have relaxed hair i wouldn't over do it. but for naturals with really dry hair then go for it!!! you really don't need to though because it moisturizes your strands so well in such little time
