A Great Chess Clock
I have both the larger Chronos (for 20 years or so), and this GX. The GX is easier to set than the larger Chronos (which isn't that tough to set, once you "get it," -- it suffers from an abundance of options), and they've come a long way with readable instructions. For the tournament chess player, the GX fulfills all the time controls I've ever encountered. And it's great for casual and blitz play too. With the color options it's also more fun than the drab original beige. In my opinion, Chronos is a a bit pricey, but it's built like a tank, and it should give many years of service (as my larger one has). Perhaps on the down side, depending on your view of it, if you need to change the batteries you'll need a screw driver. It's a great clock, solidly built with all the needed time controls, and then some. You can't go wrong.

Will work as expected if u know how to fix the issue.
If u hit the buttons hard enough the unit will turn off. Be sure to extra secure the batteries and the wiring’s connected to it. If u know how to do that then it’s perfect such problem won’t occur. 😊

Flexible and Well Built Clock
I like it. I sort of understand the 'hoopla' over the Chronos clock now that I own three. It's easy to program once you read the manual and play with it awhile. It's easier than the full size Chronos.Google "The complete set up guide to the Chronos GX by blue" to see a very good video on how to program the clock It runs 9 minutes. That easy.I do believe I like this touch one over the button one, now that I've purchased the touch version. I compared them side by side.I don't regret buying it. I still like my VTEK300 and DGT North American, just as much if not more. But i have 3 chronos GX's, Two DGT NA, one Vtek300, and DGT1001.So I now officially own more Chronos chess clocks than any other type of clock! <lol> So I guess it is the favorite. This one has a small footprint, customizable beeping, pitch, time and independent delay/inc/bronstein controls, and has a chess960 generator. Which is an advantage over other clocks. It is built well and durable.I recommend this clock for any type of chess game you play, be it tournament, blitz, or casual play. You can use it for other board games as well. It really is a flexible clock. I have discovered It's durable, easy to program, and reliable.

Stuck button
We have used it a handful of times and the button already sticks and won’t come back up.

Great clock. Prefer buttons to the touch pads.
When my touch top Chronos was stolen, I decided to try the button version instead. It's a bit smaller, which I like; and the buttons I MUCH prefer to the touch tops. The buttons have a tactile sense that works well, both in speed chess and at regular controls. And for those who hit buttons with pieces they capture, you have to avoid the touch buttons, which only recognize fingers. Chronos is the standard for chess clocks. Once you set it for the top time controls, it's easy to use, but boy is it a bitch to learn to set!

Great clock, a lot of bang for the buck
I loved pretty much everything about the clock. Even though the price is rather high, you get a lot of bang for your buck. I feel like I could drop this off the empire state building and it might be fine (not really lol). The parts are very high quality and once you figure out the menus a little with practice, it seems very intuitive for chess. The buttons on this clock are so satisfying; this clock is by far the nicest clock for chess. The LCD display is easy to read and the options are easy to customize to your preferences!
