I almost never write reviews but I had to on this one. We’ve tried hair chalk before with limited or no results but this set is perfect. The comb design makes it easy peazy to apply and the colors are vivid. Not only is my 7 year old happy, I might use these myself

Works for what it is. It's just a fun gift for youny kids that may want to play with their hair without being something more permanent. It can be a little "melty" and I ended up storing mine in the fridge when my daughter wasn't using it. Seemed to be softening or melting while it was left out (heat on, winter Christmas gift). My daughter has blonde hair and every color does show. Start with smaller pieces of hair and gently tilt the chalk comb up as you pull through and down the hair to keep enough tension on the hair for chalk to evenly apply. Not sure I described that well enough, but you'll get the hang of it :) washes out easily. Can transfer to your skin. If you pull too hard through the hair strands the chalk has a tendency to clump and crumble, so be careful of that. I would buy again. My daughter loves it.

This set was just ok. I was desperately searching for something to dye my daughter’s hair for Halloween. Since every girl on the planet wanted to be Rumi from KPop Demon Hunters I couldn’t find purple hair spray so this was the next best thing. Wetting her hair and brushing it through was not working. I had to wet a small paint brush, tap the purple chalk and then “paint” it in her hair. It gave it a light purple tinge. Thank God she doesn’t have dark hair! It did the job, not fantastic but it did the job. I don’t know that I would purchase this again.

Hair chalk is hair chalk, it’s gonna be sticky, weigh hair down and stain just about all organic material (I haven’t tried it on a steak yet but I’d assume it’d turn the same shade of purple as I did.) The only issue I had was the chalk slipping out of the actual comb? Either from the top or the sides. I’m not particularly careful about where I put my hair but this chalk genuinely stayed on. My head was hitting white sheets, people’s gowns, the wall (I’m clumsy) and I haven’t seen any color anywhere except my HANDS and my neck. But like again. It’s chalk. I must’ve used up just about every color but pink in 2-3 weeks and my surroundings remain unstained.

My daughter has dark brown hair and the only color that shows up good is the orange. She put it in my blonde hair and very color looked like a highlighter in my hair. It did wash out easy in her hair, but she was sad you couldn't see all the colors. It is not greasy, easy to apply and does come off when brushing the hair after its been in for a few hours. I like the color options, but for darker hair you either need to keep applying or only use one color out of the pack.

Application 7/10 - this hair chalk was somewhat easy for apply to my hair, towards the ends clumps started forming and breaking off into my hair that I had to pick out and try to use with my fingers. Color 9/10 - I have dirty blonde hair so the color showed up great with just 1-3 passes! I even tried it on my mom’s brown hair and it was pretty vibrant (green and blue). Effect on Hair 1/10 - The huge downside to this chalk and the reason I won’t use it again is that it instantly tangled up my hair. It was so difficult to even use a comb to get through it after applying the chalk. I ended up washing my hair sooner than usual because I couldn’t brush through it (I do have thick, curly hair so maybe if your har is finer and straight you won’t have this issue?) After washing, my hair felt so dry and damaged… more so than I remember when dying it. Huge bummer because it looked really cool!

Its for hair but doesn't really work.

This is a neat idea but they don’t work that well. You have to pull the hair out and really push to get any color. I bought these for my son’s Halloween costume and I really couldn’t get it to work. His hair is short so I couldn’t pull it like it needs so it didn’t work. I gave 4 stars because it did work on my daughter’s long hair. But it didn’t work for what I needed it for.

Colours are not as vibrant as shown on the product listing.

This product is really bad it dries out hair and takes about 6 washes to get out. It leaves your hair feeling like hay I would not recommend using this product. It also stains your hands and worktop.

I bought this hair chalk set as a birthday gift for my daughter, and it was a huge success! The colours are incredibly vibrant and show up beautifully, especially on lighter hair. She was so excited to try them out, and it quickly became one of her favorite gifts. What impressed me most was how easy it was to use. Despite being under 10, she was able to figure it out on her own and apply the chalk with style and confidence. It didn’t take long before she had created a full rainbow in her hair — which ended up being her absolute favorite look! This product is not only fun but also perfect for creative play and self-expression. I’d absolutely recommend it to other parents looking for a fun, mess-free way for their kids to experiment with colour. 10/10 from us!
