Bought this spray on a whim and I couldn't be more pleased with the decision. I'm close to finishing the first bottle after 2 months of extremely liberal use and I have nothing better to do than write a review, so here I am. I generally only use these sprays with my climbing shoes as the combination of sweaty feet and tight-fit leather inevitably results in a unfathomably vile smell that is hard to get rid of. For non-climbers: this is the kind of smell that can be suffered from several meters away and you'll smell the climber before you see them. Not only does this spray work well for leather climbing shoes, but it's very effective with the synthetic leather variety which are especially troublesome with odors persisting even after hand and machine washing. While I stated I generally only use these with climbing shoes, I have used them on my steel work boots and a couple of sprays keeps them fresh even in a hot warehouse environment. Other reviewers note that the smell can be prominent and long lasting and while this is true, the smell isn't unpleasant (to me), and if you make sure to air dry your footwear after spraying, the smell dissipates and won't be as noticeable. A potentially noteworthy thing I should mention is the sprayer/applicator is actually good, unlike some other products out there that have difficulty even functioning. In the interests of not sounding like a fake, paid review, I will mention that my initial order did not include the sprayer. However, a short email and literally a day later, Lumi sent me the missing thingy along with another bottle of the spray for use. For anyone interested, the shoes I wear are Scarpa Instincts (never washed) and Tenaya Indalo (washed but still smelly before using this spray), both are around a year old and worn without socks.

Good stuff and nice smelling but way over priced for what it is. Seems to mask smells rather than neutralise - but then the lemon type smell is quite strong.

My teenage son's trainers were horrific. They were at the point where I had to put them outside and they tried to run away from each other!! Tried this spray and left them overnight, did this for a few nights and the smell was gone! The scent is gorgeous, very fresh and natural. This saved an expensive pair of trainers from going in the bin. Brilliant stuff!!

I really liked what I read about this product, it's natural, has a lovely scent and is easy to use. My main criticism is the price and the scent only lasts for around 1 to 2 hours, before my shoes start smelling again.

the spray is reallllyyyyy good and works magics. but the powder is horrible and ruins the shoes. i threw the powder away. shoes got a little wet from rain and the powder stained the outside of shoe through the fabric. but really, the spray is really good. however over priced.

Llevaba tiempo usando sprays químicos, de esos que anulan el olor, y al principio, no estaba muy seguro de este producto, con una filosofía diferente, y una formulación basada en aceites esenciales naturales, y que desprende un olor intenso. Una vez que coges la dinámica de este producto, es espectacular. Llevo más de 2 años usándolo para el calzado de toda la familia y es genial. La salud de tus pies lo agradecerán, ya que ciertos productos más químicos para el calzado, pueden causar irritaciones, algo que este producto no causa. Aparte, ciertos productos hidroalcoholicos para el calzado, van destruyendo el tenido poco a poco, en cambio, este producto, no es agresivo con el calzado. Al usarlo, sus aceites esenciales pueden inundar la habitación durante varios minutos, y puede haber quien eso le moleste, pero yo, sinceramente, recomiendo este producto por encima de cualquier otro que he probado. Tengo un par de botes en compra recurrente cada 6 meses y con eso tengo todo el calzado de la familia fresco y sin mal olor.

This is a great product. I had a well used and very stinky pair of Solomon S-Lab XT6 Soft Ground shoes that this product saved. Before using this product I had cleaned them by hand. I then actually cleaned them in the shower by adding shampoo to them and wearing them in the shower to really work the shampoo through them. My cleaning process did drastically help however they still stunk a good bit and I knew it would get worse after use. I then used Lumi Outdoors natural shoe deodorizer (about 10 sprays under and on top of the soles and let them dry overnight. The scent was great, not too strong in my mind and in the morning they were dry and still smelling great. I now just spray one or two times per shoe after runs/heavy use and the old rotten smell is gone. I will definitely be a repeat customer and recommend this product to anyone for their everyday shoes/work boots etc. Inwojld even use this on new shoes to get ahead of the stink and I have found many other uses for this product as well.
