I thought this fondue/melting pot was much nicer than I had expected it to be.The dipping/melting pot was easy to assemble. The tray that fits over the pot comes in 4 hard plastic sections that snap together and are pretty roomy in size. I easily fit 22 large marshmallows into one of the 4 sections. They will not stack together for storage, though.I liked that the set came with two silicone melting/warming containers. The divided container allows dipping of two different types of cheese, or two different types of chocolate, and the other allows for melting larger portions of one kind of dipping sauce. Both of them slip into a larger plastic ring that effectively gives them two handles for insertion or pouring purposes and they also have spouts to help with pouring. There is cord storage under the pot - a nice touch.The pot itself in size and shape resembled a brand-name chocolate melting pot I bought last year for dipping chocolates, so I thought I'd test them together to see what the temperature difference was. Both of them got pretty warm in the "high" mode: this one maxed out at 145 degrees F, and my name-brand pot was 5 degrees cooler. I tested with water, but dipping chocolate would have melted well before getting that high. (You don't want dipping chocolate for molds or chocolates to ever get that high - 110 to 115 is really the max.) On the "warm" setting, both pots were closer in temperature, and settled at 120-122 after they cooled down. And this pot melted a half cup of milk chocolate on "high" in only 4 minutes.So if you want to make fondue, this little pot works great. I suggest testing it before using it for dipping high quality chocolates because that temperature is usually a little too high to avoid streaking. However, it would be great for melting white chocolate, candy melts dipping strawberries and that sort of thing, or anything that will be consumed right away, such as fondue. It's easy to clean, and how nice it is for it to have dual purposes!As with many fondue sets, this one came with 5 little skewers. That's great for a family, but an even 6 would have been nice to have for a couples get-together. The bottoms of the skewers are also color coded for keeping track yours.

This fondue set is simple to use and heats chocolate evenly without burning. The 4-cup size is just right for two people or a small group. The trays and forks make dipping easy, and cleanup doesn’t take long. We’ve used it for both chocolate and cheese — works great for both. It’s become our go-to for movie nights and casual get-togethers.

This fondue set has a lot to like. It has a decent 4C capacity dipping cup, and also a similar size cup with a middle divider so you can heat two different fondues at the same time. For the dipping items like strawberries, marshmallows and bread cubes, there are four dipper trays that snap together and perch on the edge of the heating base, and the trays conveniently rotate. The heating element is electric, and has three simple settings: Warm, Melt and Off. Five skewers are included with different colored tops for easy identification of who's using what. There's also a silicone spatula to help get all the goodies out of the dipping cups. The dipping cups are silicone and dishwasher safe making clean up easier. Some part of the product is BPA-free, but I can't tell what it is. The dipper trays and exterior of the heating base feel like a plastic to me, and the interior of the heating base looks like steel or aluminum. And though fondue gatherings are great fun in general, it seems less fun to use plastic and silicone instead of a glazed ceramic fondue pot and its aesthetics that can add a special warmth and charm to the evening. Though it's just a personal preference, to me, that would feel more lasting and higher quality.

Overall, I like this fondue fountain! There is a center well, and trays that sit around the center well; The center heats very good, and it is easy to use, Super functional and easy to clean; Great gift value, I think it is durable and quite a good value for the money. I am sure it could get sticky depending on what you make in it; that being said, it is pretty easy to clean; The materials they made it with are sturdy, and wipe off great. It is very durable, I was pretty surprised by the quality actually!
