If you have a Vitamin D deficiency, this is the stuff you need! Take one a week for something like 20 weeks (I don't remember, you should ask your doctor), get tested again, and your D level will be normal. The first time I took this, my Vitamin D level was not detectable. It wasn't just low, they couldn't find ANY! The lab even called me (I had my blood drawn at a low-cost health fair) about it! The doctor will want to give you a prescription, back then it was D2 and that won't raise your test levels (they test for D3). This time I didn't wait to get it tested. The last time it was tested, it was dropping and that was over a year ago, so I figured I needed supplementation. By the way, I'm very pale skinned, I should get all the D I need from sunshine, but I don't! When I get a test showing it's up to a good level, I'll start taking 5-10K every day, and it'll be a ProHealth product if they have it! It takes that much to keep me in the normal range. This is the third time I've taken ProHealth D3 50,000. I won't take anything else when I'm D-deficient!

I had been low in my "D" test. My doctor recommended this particular vitamin for me and after taking it for a couple of months, my blood test finally came up to where I needed to be to protect my bones among other things. Greatly recommend it.
