PitsMaster Thermostat Kit Digital Wood Pellet Smoker Grill Control Board for Pit Boss

The combustion fan on my Pit Boss 700FB quit working. I replaced it, but it still wasn't working, which led me to having to replace the control board. After reading countless reviews on different controllers on Amazon, I settled on this one. GOOD CALL! The wiring is a direct match to the wires inside the Pit Boss, so swapping them out literally took seconds. the entire process including replacing the probe and induction fan motor and putting everything back together took me no longer than 30 minutes with nothing more than a screwdriver and scissors to cut off the new zip tie tag ends. Great easy replacement and for now everything seems to work as it should. I'll update if there's any negatives or issues after I take it for a test run this weekend. For now couldn't be happier I got my sickly smoker up and running again.

I went from shut downs during critical cook times to perfect operation in 30 minutes. Before my 30 minute install I would have Er messages and shut downs during long cooks/ smoke cycles. Too often I would have to finish inside in or on the stove or microwave. Should have done this a year ago.

Put this on a mk Pit Boss, fit was good and easy to install. Temperature reading was spot on with the thermometer on top the grill at first, then slowly the have started to no longer match up. Does not seem to hold the temperature as close the the setting as I would li,e, but this is my firstPellet grill so not sure what to expect.

This was basically, plug and play, or should I say, plug in and start smoking. I was not sure if all the other components were going to work on my frozen pellet smoker. But this got me running and I have been cooking out again regularly.

Bought this when my pit boss controller went out two weeks after my warranty expired. Pit Boss wanted $90 for a replacement so I thought I would give this a try. It works better than the original equipment when it comes to getting up to temperature fast. The temperature control is about 25 degrees different so if you want to smoke something at 225 you need to set it to 200, but it does hold the temperature very well.

In the process of cleaning out the bin and replacing the igniter rod, I shorted my original control panel out on the side of the grill. Had this within 3 days, installed and worked perfectly! Only knock her is it is a bit costly for a simple control panel.

After killing our smoker, I had to get a few pieces to replace what I broke. This was one piece. Just a few hours (with other things as well) and it was put together and the family was happy again.

Found an old Pitmann pellet Grill swapped out the controller for this PID and got a Tager clone of my own. Only issue with the grill is the thermocouple reads correctly for where its at, just not the grill.
