Noticeable Color Change + Great Shine for Brunette Hair
used the Blazing Brown shade of Glaze SuperGloss, and it did actually change my color — I noticed my dark hair took on richer tones, not just a shine boost. The fit for my hair type was excellent: it evenly coated damp hair and rinsed out cleanly. The ease of application was simple — apply to clean damp hair, wait 10 minutes, and rinse. I found the bottle a bit hard to squeeze (others have noted this too), but once you get it flowing it goes on easily. The clarity of color result surprised me: my brunette looked deeper and more vibrant after rinse‑out. It didn’t cover all gray hairs (not a full dye), but improved the tone and look significantly. Value for money: At the price, this is a strong option if you want to refresh and deepen your natural brunette tone without a full color treatment. The combination of color change + conditioning adds good value. Slip resistance / Grip for hair? More like overall wearability — the formula left my hair feeling smoother and less prone to flyaways. The texture afterward: soft, glossy, and manageable. One caveat is that effects may fade quicker if you wash hair often; some users reported results lasting fewer washes than claimed. Summary: If you’re a brunette looking for a at‑home gloss that actually adds tone (not just clear shine), this product did the job for me. The color change was subtle but visible, and the added shine and conditioning were a bonus. Be aware results may vary and the packaging could be better, but worth a try for the effect.

Beautiful color!
I really liked this color glaze, I used to use one by John Freida a long time ago that I loved, but I guess they don’t make it anymore. So I decided to try this after researching some reviews. It was easy to use, it came with a pump and was pretty straightforward as far as directions. The color lasts well for about 5-6 washes, and fades gradually. I wish it lasted a little longer but I don’t want to dive in to an actual color dye yet, I haven’t dyed my hair since high school and at 41 started seeing some gray hair along my temples. This says it won’t cover greys, but if you only have a few, it’ll do the job for a week or so. The color is pretty, doesn’t look like a cheap box dye, it only just slightly darkened my hair, my hair is pretty dark brown anyway but this helps deepen the tone. I used it on wet hair once and dry hair once and for convenience, I’d do it on dry hair. It’s better so you can apply it and let it sit for a while before getting into the shower. If your hair is dirty though or you have product in it I’d wash and then use the glaze. I use this with the John Frieda brilliant brunette shampoo and conditioner, it helps to make the color last longer. Definitely use gloves to put this on. It will stain any fabric or skin it touches. I like to use a plastic bag over my hair while it’s in to keep it from dripping on my face and body.

Absolutely not
I have never left a product review once in my 24 years , but this product is so diabolical it left me no choice. At first, I thought it was user error and I picked the wrong color, EVEN THO I BOUGHT THE COLOR THE BRAND SUGGESTED, mind you…I have medium brown hair. “Blazing Brown” turned my hair silver…perfect! “Sleek espresso” turned my hair FREAKING BLUE!!! I am not exotic enough for these colors. Luckily, it did make my hair soft and shiny though, only reason it gets 1 star. It only lasts about a week and that is a good thing.

it's okay
so for the first time i used this product it made my hair exactly how i pictured it would look before i used it, it had a subtle hint of a chocolate cherry color with a nice shine to it and i used it a second time and for the first couple days it was really pretty but then i noticed my hair was suddenly really dark and i thought well maybe it was because my hair was just dirty but then when i got into the shower the water was a black/dark greenish grey color so then i was really confused because it was red previously when i washed it from the first use and then when i went to shampoo my hair the soap was a dark grey ish black color. idk what happened or why it turned out like this but the bottle said it was for brunettes and i am a natural brunette so idk why it turned my hair really really dark/almost black. i'm kinda 50/50. it's an okay product and on the plus side i think it lasts longer than most hair tints..

Great experience!!
This works really well - but it’s much more intense than similar products. I would recommend leaving it on for only 10 minutes and see how you like the end result before leaving it on for the full amount of time. The color fades really nicely and not into any weird colors. Also be sure to IMMEDIATELY rinse it off of any surface because it stains super easily. Great product and great value for money!

Not for gray or highlighted hair, will stain your tub, funky smell.
Review in starts in second paragraph: Seen some bad reviews for this because of incorrect expectations and use for gray coverage which this product is not for. I'm a former cosmetologist, and this is not for going darker -- it's to refresh/maintain colored hair between appointments, so choose the same or close to shade. I'm a level 6-5 with processed lengths that were brassy and lighter from permanent and semi-permanent dyes and needed to put some pigment back to the lengths without peroxide. I've used similar products before to deepen and counter brass, and while this does the job, the "scent" is just intolerable. Because this deposits in the hair, the smell does also. I have shoulder length, fine, low and medium porosity hair, and applied it on towel dried hair in the shower because I didn't want to have it "sooting" or go too dark on the first application. About 3 tablespoons was plenty to spread around. It.Is.Messy.Beware. It leave stains on white tub, linens, etc., so scrub and wash off immediately. The color is very pigmented, lots of violet tones in this licorice one, but could've been more blue for cooler tone. I will not be a repeat customer, the smell is putrid, almost a sulfuric note, so smells just as bad as a permanent color treatment, and not a luxurious conditioning treatment. I can't give it less than 3 stars because it does what it says, but not worth the hassle of the lingering smell.

A good product to use if you need to enrich your colour in-between salon visits or home colourings. Gives a good root smudge, so disguises the root line. Nice and conditioning on the hair; the pump that comes with the bottle is useful as it would be difficult to squeeze the product out without it. It’s just a bit on the expensive side, but I think we’ll get three or four uses out of it for long hair.

I’m obsessed with glaze products! Best toners I’ve ever used with the best results and leaves hair feeling amazing. I’ve found it also works better on dry hair for myself.
