We’ve been using this insulated cocktail shaker for about a week now, and for us that means daily use. We have “cocktail hour” every evening before dinner. It’s already proven to be a big upgrade from my metal shaker. We typically make Martinis and Manhattans, and we also tried the Ward 8 recipe from the included recipe cards. I’ve made that drink before from a classic cocktail book, but it was a nice reminder to revisit it. Very refreshing and a fun bonus. The cards are easy access on my bar cart when we're looking to switch things up. The main reason I wanted an insulated shaker was because my metal shaker get really frosty cold. In the past, shaking drinks would actually hurt my hands, so I’d wrap the shaker in a towel. Unfortunately, that led to a couple of “oops” moments where the shaker slipped and ended up on the floor. This shaker completely solves that problem. It stays comfortable to hold at room temperature, so there’s no need for a towel and no risk of losing grip while shaking. I also really like the design details. The covers twist off easily, which is a big help over my old shaker where the lid often got stuck. Both the small and large caps double as measuring devices. I was able to use them to mix two Ward 8s at the same time without pulling out a separate jigger. Build quality is excellent. And the price was a great value for a vacuum-insulated product. It feels solid and well-made without being too heavy, and it definitely has the feel of a quality bar tool rather than something flimsy. After a week of consistent use, I haven’t noticed any leaks, rattling, or other issues. Overall, this is a well-thought-out shaker that’s comfortable to use, easy to clean, easy to handle, and clearly designed by someone who understands real-world cocktail making. I’d happily recommend it to anyone who enjoys making drinks at home, especially if cold metal shakers have been an issue in the past

Excellent! This is a very well made product! I got it to replace one that the top would slip off and leak as well when shaking it! My old product also had a very sharp edge that would cut me if I was not careful when I hand washed it! Yeesh! :-0 Anyhow, the top on this one stays tight and does not leak when shaking it! It also does not make your hands cold or slippery when using it. I love the design and the quality of Stainless Steel! It helps insulate the drink and keep it cold when in place. I also bought it to be able to make two drinks at once (not just for me, but for my spouse as well) and save time. I love the design as well! I am big animal print lover and this is one of the most elegant Shakers I have ever seen with leopard print! Even though it is a bit pricey, I can imagine this will last a long time. I will write another update in a year or so to let my readers know how it withstands time.

Love this shaker! Some of my favorite parts are the built in measurements in the cap and the top. It’s very easy to screw off once you’re done with it. Also, because it’s insulated, your hands don’t get cold or wet! Would recommend this to anyone looking for a good shaker for home use.

Love this! Immediately elevated my drinks with better measurements compared to just a jigger & measuring cup. Less messy too! Only reason for 4 star is when I twist it shut, the seals pinch a bit causing a couple drops- nothing major. It did come with extra seals but wondering if a harder seal wouldn’t pinch? Still great shaker.

This is the best shaker I have ever found and I've gone through probably a dozen in my search. Solid, keeps my hand from freezing, built in shot measure in the cap and the lid, extra gaskets and a cute little recipe book. I liked it so much I bought some for gifts. I think that with care (hand washing), this will be my go to shaker for years.

This cocktail shaker arrived in a nicely branded cardboard box and inside the shaker was beautifully presented in a branded fabric bag (which offers good protection during shipping and is ideal for storing it in). This level of presentation would make an excellent gift. The set also includes a set of 35 recipe cards (on good quality card) and spare seals for the lid which is a thoughtful touch. The shaker does feel very premium and has features that elevate it beyond your standard cocktail shaker. For example, the fact that the shaker has a triple layered construction with vacuum insulation means not only does the drink stay colder for longer, but it also does not make your hands cold during the shaking process either, making it a much more comfortable experience. Both the jigger cap and lid have clear measurements (1oz and 7 oz respectively) etched / integrated onto the interior surface (unfortunately fluid ounces instead of millilitres), but it does mean you have a way of measuring out spirits without finding a separate measurer. I do think this is beneficial when you already know the quantities for the required cocktail. There is a built-in strainer to create smooth cocktails and the lid has a screw type closure rather than push fit which ensures a leak free experience and easier opening (helped with the inclusion of the spare seals). The cocktail shaker is generous in size as well, so can be used to make several cocktails. I love the brushed silver finish which not only provides a good amount of grip but also a sleek, stylish appearance. The cocktail shaker is currently unavailable to buy at the point of reviewing, so I can’t comment on price, but overall, this shaker is a well-designed, functional, and attractive item that combines practicality with thoughtful details – I would be happy to recommend.

Many years ago during my University years I used to also work as the bar and cocktail manager within a restaurant, good times. Over the years I've used several different shakers most of them would leak. Until now none of my previous shakers have been 100% water proof and this really is fantastic, you will also receive a second pair of replacement seals extending and possibly doubling the products life span. The shakers truly is an all in one, all measurements are Metric and the screw on top doubles as a Jigger or shot measuring device. The main lid also doubles as a measure allowing you to pure the exact specific amount of cocktail per glass instead of eye balling (which we've all done tbh) Surely this is a precision tool then your average shaker. In all honesty I can not fault this shaker it is way better then expected and very attractive in its Matt black and matt vintage gold look. There is also a small cocktail book inside the pack which is a very nice touch, they are individual cards with ingredients and how to's tied together with hemp cord. 100% highly recommended

Great all in one cocktail shaker by Bare Barrel! Easy to take with you, and the built in strainer & jigger make it extremely versatile. The uncolored version is dishwasher safe which I love because after a long cocktail party or event I throw all my tools and glassware in. Because it's insulated, it gets really cold and ice doesn't melt easily; while this is something to keep in mind, it's great for a crisp, strong Martini, or infusing a Mojito with great mint flavor without over diluting it, before finishing it off with soda or sparkling water. Just be aware that with how easily you can shake it the ice can get very finely crushed, and you may need to adjust your staining technique. This shaker has become part of my kit!
