what is the difference between atf-dw1 and atf-z1?

The 2004-2007 Saturn Vue 3.5 is a Honda motor matched to a Honda transmission, therefor DW-1.

Instructions says "Not for use in all-wheel drive differential or CVT vehicles". Can I use this for my Honda CR-V which is 4WD?

Some CRVs have the CVT transmission, so in those models it is a definite NO.

If I want to do a drain and refill, how many quarts will I need?

To do a complete drain It took 3, so I bought an extra one just in case. I had some shuddering issues when after market fluid was put in by another shop. I replaced it with the Honda fluid and got rid of the problem almost immediately. My car has over 170000 miles. Check your owners manual to be sure. Hope that helps.
